Carbon Fiber 10/22

Post by Sir Henry » Thu Jun 04, 2026 2:02 pm

I’m thinking of getting one of these. I’ll put a Harris bipod, a suppressor and a scope on it for bench shooting.

My father has the Bergara version and loves it. I assembled a Kidd version from a Brownells receiver for my son, and it's a tac driver. I'd expect this to do quite well also. Honestly, these ultralight 10- 22s consistently rank up there in my top 5 list. I simply find something else first when I have money burning a hole in my pocket.

I'm not a big magpul stock guy. I have one in my pile of rifle stocks. I prefer the Hogue rubber overmold.

I hear you on the Magpul. They aren’t my favorite either although I don’t seem to mind this one.

They are light and stiff.

Sorry, the fore-end has a stiffener in it. You can add weights to better balance out the rifle. It takes three screws to remove it. The stock is considerably stiffer overall than my Ruger Americans or general off-the-shelf 10-22s.

Have a Magnum Research version of a Ruger. Aluminum receiver and carbon fibre barrel. Timney trigger and takes Ruger magazines. Very light and shoots tight. Ordered that maybe 12 years ago.

Nice. I didn’t get into town to buy the one I was interested in buying.

Threaded is important to me.
