Fair, 70°F,Humidity 60%
Wind Speed Calm
Barometer 29.94 in
Partly sunny, with a high near 88.
South southwest wind around 5 mph.
A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm.

Memorial Day is over. WE did our 13 cemeteries and there was a crowd at each one.
I got sunburned. Then I came home and we had the neighbors in for brisket and potato
salad on the deck. Then I hit my recliner and fell sound asleep I had been up since 5:15.

Here's a picture of one of the ceremonies. I was the Rifle Squad Commander standing by the small flag
left center picture. People were very appreciative.

Have not been on in awhile. Spring has sprung in the mountains. Been shooting a primitive long bow lately.

I also have a flintlock kit on the way to build. Colonial style rifle with 44” barrel.

82 @ 3PM on Tues May 36th with a forecasted high of 85 followed by an overnight low of 69 .... first up this morning was hauling trash ... second was stopping by Walmart for groceries and meds .... rain clouds have drifted through all day ..... most of the time they passed without any rain and it will probably be that way for the rest of today; as well as, for several days to come

Well shucks, (not really) just left the warm sunshine of Southern California to return home to cool rain with a little wind sprinkled in for good measure. A perfect welcome home to the inland northwest for us. Weather aside, it’s sure nice to be home. Had a great visit with the kids/grandkids but their lifestyle wears us out. Busy, busy, busy.

We’re mostly taking the day off today but I’m looking forward to getting outside tomorrow and working on projects. I say we, but really there’s no stopping my wife. She’s working her butt off.

54 and cloudy this morning. We had a nice on and off rain all day yesterday which is greatly needed. Warming up with a high of 78 today and 89 :o , yes 89 tomorrow. Strong thunderstorms are expected to form in the heat but the future cast shows storms to the west and east but not overhead.

Today I’m going to service my tow behind mower and mow my trail. I like to do this after a rain to keep the fire danger down. Then some more mowing in my non lawn but grassy areas. Always nice to do after a rain to keep the dust down.

I sure enjoyed our time on the coast last week. I enjoyed the marine layer and the cool mornings leading to pleasant but not hot afternoons. And the view……..
