RAIN haven't seen any totals but know we've had something over an inch since midnight .... 67 @ 9:30AM with today's forecasted high of 68 .... more rain coming .... I have a medical appointment after lunch, they say it may well still be raining

49 sunny and a high around 78 later. Another beautiful day on tap. Continued nice temps with no rain in sight. We are at 50% of normal rain year to date and the future is looking bleak. We’re already getting wildfire warnings on the news with advice on how to protect your home from fire. Same ole’ stuff we see every year but probably 1-2 months earlier than usual.

On a happier note, it’s very green everywhere, the recent warm temps have caused everything including my lawn to green up nicely. For the next week or two I’ll be focusing on mowing everywhere that will get brown and dry this summer making it too risky to mow.

Spring is here. I need a new hydraulic line for my tractor so I'm
getting an early start. I need to drive about twenty miles east
to the dealer and have a couple made.

47 this morning with a cold front coming thru bringing cooler temps and some gusty winds. The furnace kicked on a little bit ago so it must be a little chilly. Still continued nice sunny days after today which may get cloudy. Still no rain in sight.

Getting ready to go out and service my rough duty mower and start mowing the tree areas. I’m going to pull the deck to power wash and either sharpen or replace the blades. They get a lot of abuse with the mowing I do with it. Stand by for bruised and bleeding hands….

I got a lot more yard work done yesterday than I expected. Mother's Day here is
a big deal and the family all meets here for brunch. I'm almost ready.

Today is the annual clean up day for the community I live in. Always fun to interact with the neighbors in a group setting like this. Not much work this year so probably lots of socializing.

A breezy but beautiful day today. High school has graduation today, with only 39 graduates, the program doesn’t take long. The missus and I are invited to a few of the receptions, I like these, good food.

66 @ 11AM on Sat May 9th under high clouds and no wind .... a brief light rain shower earlier this morning did little more that moisten the grass .... looking forward to 1PM and watching the Indiana Fever's first game of 2026 season
