This is my 100 year young neighbor taken at sunset.
I'm sure she has quite a few stories to tell and you're lucky to be featured in her latest chapter. Good for her. And you. I'd love to hear her version of a 100 year long road trip.

Gene, did you actually take that young lady to Florida and the beach. Good for you sir. I wish more people cared for
the elderly that way.

BTW, I'm considered elderly.

She has made this trip maybe 20 out of 30 years driving herself and a carload of kids. She knows the route and is a fantastic map reader.

Yes I did. This is our second trip to Florida and we went to Texas once. The van is perfect for these trips as you can sleep and walk around in it.

41 and dark as I’m up way too early. It’s supposed to be a nice day today and for the next several. There was some talk on the news last night that Spokane may see some low 80’s next week.

Leaving today for five days up at the property. Planning on doing some major clean up getting it ready for selling. If the neighbor who is looking for more pasture for his cows doesn’t buy it I’ll go back up and mow the fields and the trails in the trees. Taking a few firearms along for some trigger therapy.

Fair, 39°F, Humidity 65%
Wind Speed NW 9 mph
Barometer 30.09 in
Mostly sunny, with a high near 55.
Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
A beautiful but cool day in the offing.
I'll work on yard and flower gardens and then the gun club this afternoon.
Of course that always ends up with beer and wings with the guys.

Fair, 37°F, Humidity 65%
Wind Speed N 10 mph
Barometer 30.07 in
Areas of frost before 8am. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a high near 52.
North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Yes, I also saw that David Allen Coe died. He was quite a character but a good entertainer.
Not much going on today. It's pretty chilly so I guess I'll do shop work.
I need to wash windows but not till it warms up.

30 with a light frost up here in camp. Home is 2000 ft and here it’s 2700 ft. Just enough difference in elevation to affect the temp. Plus I’m currently about 5 miles from the Canadian border. Beautiful sunny morning that should see the 60’s later. Continued nice weather for the next several days.

When I get motivated I’m going to start cleaning up the place as it’s going up for sale. Starting with the shop building which will probably take all day. Then some outside stuff including the old pump house where my wife’s Uncle who used to live here pumped water from the creek. When we had the electrical updated probably 15 years ago the power the power to this “well” was cut. But the line is still buried and could be charged. If the neighbor buys the place he will probably want to reenergize the old well for water for his cows. This old pump house is pretty sketchy with junk that needs to be hauled off. I’ve just left it as it was since I had no intention to use it.

Late good morning, got up and left early, went to see the chiropractor. A little sore but, the hip is Much better.
Stopped and fill both tanks on the ole Chevy, $3.69 a gallon and still cost $100.
Eating breakfast now then off to meet a contractor and collect a check for the job we finished yesterday.
Probably mow grass and change the oil in the Chevy.
