our area is very dry .... the saying is, we need a hurricane to get back to get back to normal .... anyone who has ridden out a hurricane knows that's a bad option .... we have a "A statewide burn ban issued by the North Carolina Forest Service is currently in place. Open burning of any kind is illegal."

59 @ 8AM on Sat April 25th .... the anticipated high to day is 87 followed by an overnight low of 62 .... Maureen is still in bed so I haven't been given my marching orders for today .... no clue what's on tap

I know that feeling.

Mostly Cloudy, 48°F, Humidity 62%
Wind Speed Calm
Barometer 30.02 in
Cloudy, with a high near 59.
Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon.
A 20 percent chance of showers before 9am.

More work on flower beds today and also going into the city to buy seafood. A company flies in
fresh oyster, shrimp, red fish, ect from Galveston Bay every other Saturday and sells it out of a
truck at a local nursery. Good stuff for land locked folks.

29 and frosty this morning. High in the mid 50’s and sunshine for the morning and clouds for the afternoon. A very nice week ahead with seasonal temps. Good for us as we’re gonna be RV living for most of the week.

Just work around the yard today and I got my marching orders last night,.

We're in a similar state here in WA but I'll bet in a couple of months many idiots will be out shooting off fireworks on the 4th. While no statewide complete ban they have been banned in many counties including mine but the ban is not enforced so it's still like a war zone on the 4th. Only way you could stop it would be to outlaw all fireworks sale on Indian land which apparently the state doesn't have the authority to do. You can buy anything you want on Indian land, up to full size mortars.

Good morning, 63° and headed towards 83.
Spent the night at the oldest daughter's house, we're watching the great grandson.
This morning we had the arrival of a new granddaughter.

RAIN ..... happy to say that rain (light rain but rain nonetheless) has been falling, off and on, since yesterday afternoon .... no clue as to accumulation .... just looked out and couple of small puddles can be seen .... bottom line, while the amount of rain has been small, it has all sunk in ..... no runoff .... according to the weather radar, our rain has moved east and will soon end ..... 60 @ 10:30AM on Sun April 26th .... forecasted high 65 before falling back to an overnight low of 48 .... next mention of rain in our weather forecast can't be seen until Wed .... nothing in our plans for today that will take us away from home today

Congratulations Grandpa Randy! :D

34 and sunny today with a high of 58 forecast. No rain for at least the next week. We have below freezing temps forecast for the next two nights but after that I may turn the sprinklers on. Getting a bit dry out there.

More outdoors fun in the sun today and I may pull the motorhome out of the shop. We’re heading up to the property on Wednesday. There will be ample time up there for some fun plinking so it’s decision time on calibers to bring along. :D
