Another great family picture to hang on the wall....

Post by fortyshooter » Fri Mar 27, 2026 8:57 pm

These from the Asphalt Angels car show 2 weeks ago where the new owners of my late brother's 1970 Hemicuda had it in the show. They had a nice display setup and best of all my brothers son and daughter got to start it up for the first time in their life! I wanted to drive it back home!!! Yeah that be my son and I on the left!

Great pics. Love the car, too bad you couldn't keep it in the family. ;)
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Nice!
And good that the car is now with someone doing the things that your brother would have done with it.

Is the motor in the foreground the race motor your brother ran in the car?

Great display and a nice bunch of smiles.

That is a display block that has the 1965 Chrysler Race Hemi cross ram intake...the special Sox&Martin oil pan and the headers that we had on the Cuda back in late 1971. The original 10,000 mile 426 Hemi is in the car back to stock. I have the special Holley 770 carbs that were on the cross ram on my 427 Windsor that is in my 1985 Mustang LX.

Yep it is one CLEAN original paint and interior Hemicuda and looks like it did back in July 1970 when we picked it up at the dealer. That is one summer I will never forget!

Well he left it to his kids thinking maybe they would hold on to it and get it back together. The daughter has two teenage boys the tall one on the right is 16 and it would have been cool if they all could have enjoyed the car but sadly they are not car people. As for me it would have been really great to keep it but right now a lot of my savings is going to the care of my wife in the Memory Care facility. BUT I do have the memories and cool stories of working on....racing and enjoying the Hemicuda !

Working on my special memories display on the mantle and on the left is the original air filter that came on the Hemicuda with the first license plate that was put on the car. Top picture is my brother posing with the Cuda in 1970 and me at the bottom posing in 2026. Of course my love of 50+ years Margie in the center picture!
