Paul Krause was a Minnesota Viking back in the days of the Purple People Eaters and lives in the area. I've met him and he's a very nice man that you would never think was a football player.

Anyway, a bunch of us retirees were at Cracker Barrel for our monthly breakfast. We're all vets and of course had vet's hats on. When we got ready to leave we asked for our bill and the waitress laughed and said it was already paid. I asked who paid it and she said a nice man in a Vikings jacket. He picked up the bill for 10 men. I'm pretty sure it was Paul.

I can understand. I had the same concern for the Israelis women and children who were either killed or raped and killed a couple of years ago. Yet, it is a different thing between intentional and non-intentional. Evil knows no bounds.

It's still unclear where the blast came from. Also remember that the Iranians often put their fighters in schools.
Of course we have accidents, but we don't do anything like that on purpose. At least not the Army I was in.

I happened upon a battle ground, of the revolution war, that I was not aware of; they may be many more. And yes, I did pay attention during history classes. This battle is claimed to have been a turning point in the revolution, which is strange why it was in mentioned or stressed in my history classes (Battle of Kings Mountain:https://youtu.be/siUUA6KpY4s?si=Y3k_F537SP-BfPbW). It shows that some Americans don't take too kindly to threats.

I volunteered for the Marine Corps. Volunteered for Aviation. Volunteered for Door Gunner Duty during our deployment. Each time my enlistment was up, I volunteered to stay... Not because (as some are quick to say of the military) I had no other marketable skills. I was an Aviation Electronics Technician. I had a Teaching Certificate from The Tennessee Board of Education for their Tech Schools.

I loved what we did, thought it was important. I was willing to take the risks to insure we remained a free country. My brothers in arms could say what they wanted, joking when we sat around in a pub here or there, but deep down they all believed the same.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

I was not planning on posting in this thread and am kind of surprised it is not locked yet, but...

I've heard reports that we were relying on 10 year old intelligence on what was at that location.

Whether or not we should have started this war with Iran at this time I don't know, but I don't have much faith in Hegseth, Vance, Trump and maybe a few others apparently making the decision without much or even any advance planning. It seems their idea was lets just shoot a lot of missiles and drop a lot of smart bombs and it will all be over in a couple of weeks.

Also, no offense meant and while it is rare we have commited such acts, remember My Lai.

I can understand Marine. I was a sonarman, and I enjoyed myself. The first 12 years just flew by.

As for Intel, part of Intel is not telling what you know. The public is not given full knowledge of our Intel. It is not a secret or top secret, if the public has full knowledge of classified data.
