Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
45', soaking wet and a little breeze. Not raining at the moment, but more steady rain is expected. Maybe 56' later.

We got about the same over here, still getting a rain and snow mix but it's melting as fast as it's coming down now, it's already 37°. Mid 40's with 57° high by Monday so what's on the ground will be gone soon.Hatchdog wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2026 10:49 am33 with a wet heavy snow falling. Looks like around 4” so far, might have to use the snowblower for the first time this season. Might even put the blade on the Ranger and plow my neighbor’s place. The dirty dog is in California enjoying sun and warm.![]()
But wait….next Wednesday my golf buddies and I have our first round scheduled. Forecast is for sunny skies and 64. Take that Mr. Winter.![]()
Mission Ridge did get around 2 feet the last 2 days with another 1½ feet predicted for today and tonight. That's more than was already there so will definitely help this Summer.
Have a 1pm Dr. appointment, will be using my plow for only the second time this Winter when I get back home. First time didn't really count, just made a couple of paths on the lawn, wasn't enough snow on the driveway to bother with.

ever have one of those days where things simply don't go as planned .. ? .. for weeks we've been working on this being our first camping weekend of the year with our camping club .... bottom line, we've had to cancel .... at 4:45PM under a cloudless sky our temp is 60 which is 1 degree shy of our forecasted high of 61 .... our cool weather continues with tonight's predicted low of 39 .... after breakfast we were getting ready to take care of moving last minute things from the house to our camper when Maureen had a strong attack of Vertigo which forced us to stay home .... the good news is, while not completely better, she is much improved .... her pacemaker is complicating things but she has more diagnostic test scheduled

I drove the van down the hill halfway . I’ll be able to drive out in the morning and should get back home before the second snow storm. All I need to do is clear the road by ten feet and then walk up the hill.

concern appreciated .... it was mid afternoon before she started feeling better .... her doctor is ordering more test so time will tell .... her pacemaker is complicating things .... it appears that having one requires machines that can cut it off/on .... that involves cardiologist and it seems like a small army of other disciplines .... it will be 4 weeks or so before a machine in our area will be openmarkiver54 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2026 5:36 pmHope everything turns out ok. 11F and calm before the storm. I’m hoping we get the full 28 inches as promised.

No I’m like a kid when it snows. Especially where I live now. Older guys and gals my age tell me about sledding down my hill when they were young growing up here. Apparently it was the neighborhood favorite. It’s not the highest but it is the steepest and longest. The run was about 300 yards.markiver54 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2026 8:43 amHaven't you had enough of that for this season?I guess you have to love though it to live there...enjoy!

47 at 9AM under a beautiful Carolina Blue Sky .... happily our temp is supposed to rise to a very nice 73 degrees after lunch .... overnight low supposed to drop to 45 .... we hope to be able to drive over to where our camping club is spending the weekend and go out to eat with them this evening ...
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Sir Henry, the pic looking up your driveway to the house with the ruts in the snow is both beautiful and ugly. Beautiful view but ugly snow to plow. (Yep, I know you see beauty in both
) Until a few years ago I felt exactly as you, come on snow pile up! Even tho I’m several years younger I am changing over to %$&* snow!
Speaking of snow, yesterday we ended up with 5” around my place. A little less on the concrete and lawn areas due to retained heat from warm days in the recent past. I just used a shovel around my place but did put the blade on the Ranger to plow my neighbors place. He’s out of town but I wanted to make it look inhabited.
32 this morning with sunny skies forecast. That’s great as today it the annual St Paddy’s parade in Spokane. It’s a big deal with lots of partying happening in the downtown bars afterwards.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning my chilly friends.
We are heading into an early heatwave here in the SF Bay Area in California.
Forecast for the for today is 89 and sunny.
The week is full of mid to upper 90’s.
This is unusual for sure this early in the year.
Took this photo just now.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I made it up my hill and turned around and drove back down. I’m now at the bottom a few feet from Ring School Road. I measured the snow on the way back and it’s 10 to 18” deep. Tomorrow we are expecting 18-22 inches and another 6 on Monday.

We might see some snow flakes overnight and tomorrow morning. Level is dropping to 300ft. Not expecting any accumulation.
Reminds me of a Spring break snow storm here a few decades back. 4 inches then.
