2017 Subaru Outback Transmission Failure
Re: 2017 Subaru Outback Transmission Failure
I know about replacement parts getting hard to find. I had the transfer case go out on my 2000 Tundra. Couldn't get a replacement for a while. The shop finally found one in a junk yard. I keep the old one. Nothing wrong with the gears and the box. Seems it a problem with the vacuum actuator module. Probably a punctured diaphragm.

My first car was a 1964 VW Bug. It was in good shape, 1970 and I paid $400 for it.BrokenolMarine wrote: ↑Fri Feb 20, 2026 8:38 amThank you Sir.We are sticking with the Trucks...

If we should win a small fortune in the lottery and could purchase a Sunday driver, it would be a Classic VW Bug for Miss . Something with muscle from the 60s for me. Nostalgia. Don't play the lottery, so not likely.
from Google...
"Typically, you can expect to pay around $19,500 for a 1964 Volkswagen Beetle in good condition with average spec. The highest selling price of a 1964 Volkswagen Beetle at auction over the last three years was $86,625."
$400 in 1970 is roughly equivalent to $3,341.46 in 2026.

My very first car was a 1966 beetle given to me by my dear mother back in 1972.
