Valentine’s Day

Post by brm4450 » Sun Feb 15, 2026 10:32 am

Had a great day, friend of mine called and said to come out to his place. 2 other couples were coming out, and he said to bring guns. So we all set on his porch and rang steel and punched holes for 3 hours. Then we fired up the grill and cooked steaks with all the sides and fixin’. Good times had by all.

Well wife and I enjoyed a quiet dinner I made and of course in her condition did not know anything of Valentines Day BUT it was 50 years ago that we celebrated our first one as a married couple in 1976 ! Picture of our apartment and us back then. Miss those days very much !!!!

These posts are another reason I miss the "LIKE" feature.

We spent the evening at our favorite local restaurant, which was mobbed that night. We both had 16 ounce Delmonico steaks, our favorite Sesame Chicken Skewer appetizer, and a French Vanilla Creme Brulee for dessert. Came back home and watched Olympics until we both fell asleep watching. Slept late the next morning too. :D

❤️ what an awesome picture especially where your Valentine is today. Thankfully the great years vastly outnumber the last few troubled years. Congrats to the both of you.
