Happy New Year All!
Hello from SW Ohio!
Hello from SW Ohio!
I finally got the Henry I've wanted since the 2019 NRA Indy Show - the H12 Case Hardened Carbine in .44 Mag!
I really like it, it's very smooth and has a very nice trigger. The sights weren't friendly to my old eyes, so I installed an EGW mount and an Ultra Dot red dot I had from my Bullseye shooting days.
I also didn't like the buttplate pad, and that's the reason I looked this forum up; to see if there was a more normal buttplate to replace it with. I saw a couple threads inquiring about it also, but didn't find a remedy. Doing some research and finding a bunch of options for sale, but none from Henry, I settled on one I found on eBay for a Marlin. If anyone's interested in details, I can do another post about it. Anyway, I like the look and feel of it better.
If I can figure out how to post pics I'll put a couple up. Edit: got it to work, .

Welcome to the forum. Yes pictures are good but I am not the person to try to explain how to do it.

Re: Hello from SW Ohio!
Thanks for the welcome. Resized them from my phone before sending them to my 'puter via email. Seemed to work!

Re: Hello from SW Ohio!
Welcome! I also have an H12 in CCH, though in 45 Colt. Best rifle I have.

Re: Hello from SW Ohio!
Thanks Mags. I gave up my favorite rifle to get this, but it went to my son so it wasn't so bad.
I wanted a .44 to go along with these.

Re: Hello from SW Ohio!
I did similar, to go with a pair of 45 Colt caliber revolvers.

Welcome to the forum from Wisconsin’s ice age. Those pistols will go nicely with the Henry.
