Good (but unnecessary) luck to the Prentice team. Safe travels and enjoy the fish fry.

Thanks. Eight of us went and there must have been another 100 fans from Prentice. We had almost as many fans as the home team. Keep in mind only 600 people live in the school district. I knew most of the fans. We were the visitors.

They goed and ended up with an eight point win. Was ugly at times but in the end I had a big smile.

In a day people won’t remember how pretty it was. Only if they won or lost.

We won again tonight. I can’t remember the score but it was another blowout. Our number 30 scored his 1,000th point tonight on this runaway layup.

Yesterday was the grade school tournament at Prentice. Both gyms were being used from 10 am to about 4pm. Each gym had six games played. Prentice won all three of their games.

The Prentice School District consists of one Campus for all 12 grades and is currently 227 students. They don’t have much of a football or hockey program as they are expensive. Basketball is the cheapest program and they go big on it. Most school districts are twice our size and only have one gym. The high school (just the high school) I went to in Spokane had around 1,200 students so our conference is one of the lower ones.

The players on the team are the sons of several generations of people that have attended the school since it was started. I believe it’s an old school even though the building is just 30-50 years old. It’s been added on several times.

You don’t see any signs of politics here nor of any rainbows. Walking the halls you will see Bible quotes students have plastered on their lockers. No purple hair or rings except for the girls ears. And certainly no tattoos.

Yep this guy fits right in. GO BUCCANEERS!
