My wife had her first book published and is having a book signing event today, I’m busy just being the gopher. Everyone have a great day and weekend!

our high today has been 29 .... at 5PM its dropped to 27 on its way to an overnight low of 24 ....they say we have a "heavy mixed precipitation of largely sleet and freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations ranging from one quarter to one half of an inch. Locally higher ice amounts are also possible across the Piedmont. Total sleet and snow accumulations up to two inches" .... the prediction is, the slick stuff will move in sometime after 10PM and hang around to some time after noon tomorrow .... we are about as ready as we can get .... history indicates we can expect the power to go out, we can only hope it will hold off doing so until after daylight

So far so good here in WNC Jim. Supposed to begin here around 9:00 or 10:00 PM.
Be safe.

Currently it’s -20F with a gentle 4 mph breeze. High today will be -4F. In three to four days it might get above zero. Ice fishing is in full force with huge trailers (ice houses) and trucks on the lakes.

At 11:00 AM it's 18degrees, 4-6 inches of snow. It stopped snowing but my wife hears something hitting our windows , probably sleet or freezing rain. Breakfast was homemade bread pudding, butter and syrup and my usual half pot of coffee.
