45 at 9:30 AM on Thursday, Jan 22 .... forecasted high to reach 58 later this afternoon before dropping back to an overnight low of 39 .... like most of the country, a winter ice storm is on its way and is slated to hammer is this weekend .... for Saturday they say,"Cloudy and very cold; snow, sleet and freezing rain late in the afternoon; threat of major ice storm with extended power outages and extensive tree damage" .... today we need to dig out our portable generator that is buried in the garage and make sure its ready to go .....

28 again this morning with another day of winter gloom. Maybe some sun breaks tomorrow, sure hope so. My wife is feeling poorly and this weather isn’t helping her outlook. Cold temps coming but nothing like Coop and Sir Henry are “enjoying”.

Sounds like those who have posted on here are well prepared for the coming winter weather. The very best to all of you.

Ran my motors yesterday and everything started and ran just fine.

Not as cold as elsewhere, but it has been cold and dry enough, for more than a couple weeks, for the ground and vegetation to freeze-dry out.
24' and sunny-hazy-frosty this morning. Maybe 42' later.

My official temperature is -33F and I have winds 10-25 mph. I need to settle in for the long run as our high today will only be -12F. It will be eight days before we hit positive temperatures when next Saturday it will be +1F. At -33F and 25 mph wind the feels like temperature is -92F

The weather man says it’s only -27F. I wonder what else the weatherman and news get wrong.

Hey it’s 73F inside and I’m walking around barefoot on my heated floors. My real concern is propane not vaporizing. My tanks are mostly under snow and because of the volume I should have enough vapor. Picture is from upstairs bedroom window. I’m NOT going outside.

I’m almost embhassased to report my temp of 19 AVOVE ZERO. This is our little cold spell from being on the western edge of the Arctic blast being suffered by BRM, Sir Henry and Coop. We haven’t had any cold temps to speak of this season. Also not much in the way of snowfall. Best to all you affected by the Winter blast coming in the weekend.

Heading to the doc this morning for some routine stuff. I might hit a gun shop nearby and take a look for any pistols in 32 acp. Got a hankering for a Walther PPK-S or better yet a PP. Not looking for a pocket sized pistol but wouldn’t mind a Beretta Tomcat with the tip up barrel just because it’s kinda cool.

45 at 11AM on its way to a forecasted high of 50 before dropping back to an overnight low of 26 .... with a winter storm headed our way, we have an hour and a half drive to attend the funeral of the daughter of long time friends today .... we hope to be back home before dark but that's a long shot .... thankfully the storm isn't supposed to hit until tomorrow
