30 and overcast again today. Not much movement in the temp expected. Cold week ahead with lows around 20 and highs around 30. Nothing like what Sir Henry and Coop are experiencing thankfully.

I mentioned the other day about seeing bright blue skies from the mountains and a “sea” of fog below. Here’s a picture taken from the top of the Mt. Spokane ski area showing exactly what I mean. I expect that most of you have experienced this first hand but for those who haven’t enjoy this pic.

Beautiful scene. I'm one who has never had the experience of seeing that amazing place. Thanks.

A frosty-sunny 29' this morning. Maybe 49' later. Likely similar through Thursday. Then maybe some rain.

43 at noon on Sun Jan 18 ....they say our high will reach 44 before dropping back to an overnight low of 22 ... as was predicted, a light rain has been falling since well before dawn .... we've been told that we could see some flurries before this front moves on around dark .... still calling for rain mixing with snow, accumulating a coating to an inch .... they break that accumulation down to over and inch of rain and less than half an inch of snow ..... in short, its pretty miserable out there .... thankfully, right now, the only reason we foresee needing to go outside this afternoon is to walk Maureen's pup

32 this morning. Got to 49 this afternoon. Predicted mid 20's next few nights. NW wind made it feel colder today.

26 degrees, heading to the mid 50's today. Gonna be a NW wind making it feel colder, but should be a pretty good day.

Beautiful picture. I’ve been on Mt Spokane many times. Hey it’s -14F with only a 20 mph wind. By Friday it will be -30 with 30 mph winds. That’s when I’ll say it’s cold. With the wind chill it feels like, well it doesn’t feel like anything after ten minutes on exposed skin. Surprisingly I have clothing that keeps me warm. Just don’t take a mitten off. Driving it takes two hours for the car to really feel warm.

30 again this morning with another day of gloomy skies expected. High of 32 so not much movement with the temps. Starting tomorrow we may see some sun breaks that should increase as the week progresses. This will bring nicer daytime temps but the overnights will drop.

Nothing much planned for today. My wife has been feeling poorly so we’ll probably just stay home and enjoy the fire in the stove. She just can’t stay warm so today I’m running both the stove and the furnace. Hopefully she will feel better.

our temp at 10AM on Monday Jan 19 just reached freezing .... they say our high today will reach 48 before dropping back to an overnight low of 22 .... they say an "Impactful winter storm" will hit us over the coming weekend .... first up this morning, getting our Trailblazer to a local garage .... the driver's side door was frozen shut .... had to pour hot water on it, had to pour hot water on it to get it to open .... we do need to go back out after it warms up a bit to pick up some supplies
