33 this morning. Chance of snow later today maybe up to 2”. We’ll see about that, pretty warm for much accumulation. Saw on the news this morning a live feed from a ski resort 60 miles north near Sandpoint Idaho. It was snowing and blowing, good news for the ski folks. Snow/rain on and off for a couple of days then dry and maybe some sun.

Heading to the dentist this morning to have a crown replaced.

46 at noon .... on Jan 5th .... forecasted high 57 with an overnight low of 37 .... no rain mentioned .... talk about weird, this morning I called the company that we've purchased CPAP supplied from for many years .... I spoke with their specialists that deals with the machines .... she asked me if it was unplugged and I told her that it had been for over 2 days .... she told me to plug it back in .... I did and it worked perfectly .. :? .. apparently, that sometimes they need to be unplugged long enough to totally lose all info they are supposed to lose and reset themselves ..... yep I sure wasn't expecting that ..... she checked with our insurance and as it turns out our machine is over 5 years old and our insurance will cover getting a replacement .... I asked the chance this could happen again and she said there is no way to know

a thick fog is lifting under an overcast sky .... 47 at 10AM with a forecasted high of 64 before falling back to a low of 51 .... while it sure looks rainy, none is mentioned in today's forecast .... once again we had to get up early to feed, dress and get our 9 year old grandson off to school .... his mother is still quarantined with a 1 and 2 year old brother and sister who she is fostering .... after getting him to school we stopped at Walmart to pickup food and meds .... we have no plans to go back out until we need to pickup our grandson and get him home

Morning all.

The sun is out this morning for the first time in weeks. California has had rain for several weeks now.

It’s going to set up a big fire season this year because of all the grass etc that will grow like crazy after a very wet winter for us…

You'll wake up that first morning after having it again feeling amazing. I did. I wear a full face mask and I can't sleep without it. I'm scheduled to get a new machine in August.

Mine will sometimes lose the humidity setting on the the control panel and it no longer adds moisture to the air. Unplugging and plugging it back in and it works again. I have to use a mask as I'm a mouth breather, tried the the nose pillows but had to use a strap to keep my mouth shut and it was more uncomfortable than the mask.

I've considered the Inspire surgery but I've heard it only has around a 70% success rate and I'd also have to lose quite a bit of weight to qualify.

Whenever an unfortunate character in a film or tv program has duct tape put over his mouth, I cringe. I have a deviated septum and my nose is an unreliable airway. If my mouth was covered like that, I'm pretty sure I'd suffocate.

I've got 17 years of Cpap. True to form, I can't keep my mouth shut so it's been full face mask all that time. The full mask has made it's own crease/wrinkle and since I have more than enough wrinkles I'm giving this mask a try. Seems to be working pretty good after a couple months.

ResMed Airfit F40 Cushion L Quiet 64629. That's what's on the label.

EDIT to add....The F40 frame system is required.

This set-up seems to direct the air to the nostrils so for me it's got the benefits of a nasal mask without the sore nose.
