40 with big winds earlier. We had gusts in excess of 60 mph and areas to the south had 80mph. So far the area around my home is damage free and later I’ll take a walk around the property and check. Hope my tarps on my burn piles are still in the county. I checked them yesterday and all looked to be secured well to me. Thankfully they are located in an area that is somewhat sheltered from the wind.

Lots of power outages around but I’m still good. My son who lives 10 miles to the east is in my den today working. Yep, his power is out and he works from home. Last report I heard said 80K locally are out and I think like 1.5 million in Oregon, Washington and Idaho are out.

Well how bout that, it worked. I wonder if it is just the pic I was trying to attach earlier. I try to attach it here.

No luck, must be that pic. Not important hopefully my pics will load going forward.

Had a big blow about mid-night. Lots of downed limbs and at least 2 trees down somewhere nearby. Heard the thuds of them hitting the ground.

How did you do Gene? I got the ol DP out of the shed and went to town. Only one diesel pump worked for some reason and it was pre pay only so the guy at the register said, "How many gallons?" See they charge you for it and then if you don't use that much they deduct what you don't pump. I told him 75 gallons and said, "Man, that's a lot." I finally found a pump that worked and it shut off at 74 1/2, but I squeezed the other half gallon in.
I filled her up with propane and now she's sleeping in the shed till we decide to go South.
Twice I failed to fill up with Winter Diesel and she jelled up. Carol was most unhappy with me, so this time I got it done right. (I hope).

today has come and is rapidly leaving .... that said, it sure didn't go as planned .... first up was a 50 mile round trip drive to pickup fresh oysters for get together with friends this afternoon .... we were surprised to learn that their delivery truck was running late .... bottom line, called our friends to figure out a new plan and due to a medical emergency, we had to postpone for who know how long .... basically, we accomplished little to nothing today .... 44 at 7:30PM with it anticipated to drop to 34 overnight .... oh well, its nice to have our low be above freezing .... for tomorrow they say, "Considerable cloudiness; breezy in the afternoon with occasional rain and drizzle"

I filled with winter diesel when I came up four years ago. My problem is I haven’t driven it after the first year. It hasn’t been licensed for three years and sit in the RVport protected from the weather. It makes a great extra bedroom for my small house. I want to run an underground water line to it so I can use the restroom in the summer. For the grey water I’ll just dump it into the field on a sunny day letting ultraviolet light kill everything.

49 at 10AM with an overcast sky and little, if any, wind .... becoming cloudy; breezy this afternoon with occasional rain and drizzle .... today's high 62 which will be our first high in the 60's for a good while .... our overnight low is forecasted to be only 4 degrees lower than today's high .... hours of drizzle will certainly be a downer but aren't supposed to mount up to much of a rain accumulation .... we've already hauled off trash and don't anticipate leaving home again today

33 this morning with a little rain/wet snow but hardly enough to wet the concrete. Yesterday’s wind storm was a big one with a 75 mph gust at the Spokane airport. My place probably saw 50+ gusts. The dogs and I took a walk around the place yesterday and found no damage, whew!. Once again I’ll have to clean up the lawn and driveway from pine needles, this will be the third time I thought I was done for the year.

More wind tonight when the system exits the area but nothing like yesterday. Lots of trees down around the area including in Idaho one man killed when a tree fell on his house while he was sleeping. Many other homes with tree damage.

Well Mags, your blow came through here last evening. We went from 39 above to 6 below in 12 hours
with winds up to almost 50 mph. That's a 45 degree drop. By Monday it's supposed to be in the 30s again.

34 this morning with possible sunshine today. So far as it gets light I’m seeing a light overcast that could prevent the sun from peeking thru. If we get the sun we could see 40 otherwise the 30’s will remain. Another wind storm last night but not as intense as the prior storm. That’s three in just over a week. Enough!
