Hi ho, hi ho it's off to plow we go.
I have a mechanic coming this morning to try and get my plow started. It turns
over fine, but no spark. Meanwhile I'll plow with the tractor. It just takes a lot longer.

It takes me two hours to plow with my tractor. With a pickup and plow you can do it in a half hour. I’m sure glad I get paid hourly.

38 here at my place with mid 40’s around to the south. Another windy day expected but the strongest gusts will be well the the south. Dogs and I took a walk yesterday and found no downed trees from Monday’s wind. Spokane is looking at new record highs for the next couple of days with temps in the mid 50’s. Could be as much as five degrees above the prior record. Saw a map of WA, OR, ID, MT snow pack and it looked like 80% of the mountains have lost some or all of the existing snow. Not good. Western Washington is experiencing some pretty severe flooding and there has been at least one landslide blocking part of I-90 on the pass.

Got a few projects done in the shop yesterday. I had all the pine needles cleaned up from the lawn and driveway but Monday’s wind brought a bunch more down and today’s wind should do the same. Saturday is supposed to be dry so I’ll be back out at it then.

46' and overcast no rain expected today. Supposed to be windy though. Some 'street gutter flooding'. OR coastal communities, the the flooding is more severe. Maybe 59' here later.

Rained all night so the snow was reduced quite a bit. 37º at 6 am now 32º and snowing. Side streets are still ice covered and temps are supposed to be below freezing for the next week. Going to be an interesting winter.

51 under a cloudless sky at 1:30PM and if things go as forecasted, that's as warm as its going to get today .... we are starting to get ready to camp with our club this weekend and wouldn't you know it, the lowest temps so far due to roll in 16 degrees Sunday night

-11 here Saturday night. You'll be OK. We've slept in the motorhome when it was that cold. We always have an electrical convection heater that we can plug in to help keep a room warmer.

We also carry water in one gallon jugs to use for dish washing and toiletries and such. Something you Southern folks may not have had to do.

over the years we've camped in temps ranging from 8 to 114 degrees .... no surprise that we use the same coping techniques that you do

Crazy, it’s 51 at 5:00 am this morning. Very windy again overnight and today. The warm temps are supposed to stick around thru the weekend with some cooling next week but still way above average. Mt Spokane ski resort was supposed to open today but that’s been postponed, they lost most of the snow to the temps. Last night the local weather lady made the comment that this year we skipped Dec, Jan and Feb and went straight to March.

JEBar, bring your camping club up here in the way north for some warm temps. You might need the A/C

It was 65 late last night and very windy, my weather station showed a couple of 30mph gusts. I think all the ski resorts in the state lost what little snow they had left. The governor declared a state of emergency for the whole state but I think most of the flooding is on the west side. It's a mess over there.

Supposed to cool off the week of Christmas and maybe get some snow.

Nice looking Bronco Coop. I had a 79 for many years.

42 this morning and still a little bit breezy. High in the upper 40’s and mostly dry. Nice day tomorrow with sunshine and warm temps. The two windstorms we had this week have made a mess of my lawn and driveway which I had in perfect shape for the coming winter. Sadly winter didn’t come but spring did. Huh? So tomorrow I’ll get the mower and rake out and do more cleanup. I got more firewood in the form of tree trunks from a neighbor. They were dumped in a messy pile and with the balmy temps yesterday I got the tractor out and made a neat stack off the ground. Felt like March out there.

This was the stack from earlier and yesterday’s work doubled it. Lots of firewood for the future.
