A fine early Christmas present to myself....

Took me a long time but wanted a very nice blued S&W Model 19 to add to my collection. All my other Smiths are stainless steel and this one is in a fine deep blue. Took some searching to find this at the price I wanted to pay and it was built in 1975-76 with the pinned barrel and recessed cylinder chambers.

One of the revolvers high on the list of "Wish I Hadn't Sold" is a 6" Model 27. I bought it from an old friend back in the late 70s when he was slowly reducing his collection. It was a beautiful gun and shot like it was laser guided. I kept it for years, but when I started shooting competition and needed an accurate 1911, another competitor pounced. He had been drooling over the model 27 for years, and had an extra match grade 1911. Traded me even. I had regrets, but made him pay, by beating him like a rented mule on the regular in the monthly matches, with his old 45.

I rarely talk about my guns on the internet because I worked for the govt, and Oh Hell Yes they can keep count on what you have just by scanning what you post, however, I have a 357 Colt Trooper III that I think is the finest revolver I've ever owned. I had a Python that I sold a number of years ago for a tenth of what it would be worth now, but it didn't shoot as good as the Trooper.
The only other pistol I had that was as accurate was a Ruger Security Six which I sold to my late cousin. That thing was phenomenal with its accuracy. He wanted to hunt deer with it and talked me out of it. After he died I asked his widow if I could buy it back but she can't seem to find it.
Oh well. I have plenty.
