47 earlier this morning with high reaching low 80's. Looks like a nice day. It's dry. We could use some rain.
Is anyone else having problems posting. I been trying to send this several times, but it kept telling me I had to login to post. But when I backed out it still showed me logged in. Could it be because I haven't been on here for a while.
There's an inactivity timer that continues to count down even if you are typing a post. Take too long to post an you get logged out. The inactivity timer only resets on webpage flips. The timer limit probably got reset to a small value during the recent migration.

We could use some of that rain. We dry here. Besides being dry, another nice day ahead. 46 earlier this morning with high predicted mid 70's.

Overcast, 34°F, Humidity 60%
Wind Speed E 5 mph
Barometer 30.09 in
Dewpoint 21°F
Visibility 10.00 mi
Cloudy, with a high near 44.
East wind 5 to 10 mph.
I got a call from the wife of my best friend and hunting and fishing partner from my
days in Northern Virginia that he has had a massive stroke. He is 83 and has been active
all his life so now that probably ends. He and I fished the Potomac, hunted squirrel, turkey,
and deer in the mountains and then after we both left the area we met many times to fish
Lake of the Woods in Canada and The Gulf of America out of Aransas Pass, Tx.
He was a United Airlines captain and I was an Air Traffic Control Supervisor so we made a
strange couple but our wives almost made us look normal. When we went to Texas we always
stayed in their yard for a few days just to relive old times.
She said he will go into rehabilitation therapy so maybe he can come home again. I hope so.
Getting old is a bitch. I'm two years older than he is.

Sorry to hear about your friend Coop. Our friends here in Blanco Tx have some aviation history. He retired early at 52 and was a Northwest Airlines Captain. He flew their 747's. One of our friends in Port A told me that getting old aint for sissies and I said ya you are right. I told him Im not sure Im tough enough to get any older. Hang in there Coop

You gotta look out for those old airline captains. Something about them just ain't quite right. It takes an old
Air Controller to take them out in public.

I picked him up early one morning to go deer hunting and I heard a blood curdling scream
as he ran out of the house laughing like a hyena. In full camo paint on his face he woke his wife up
with a good bye kiss.
