We both enjoyed a game we never expected as well. We have favorite Dodger players that we recognize and like to watch, but secretly we're rooting for the under dog. Toronto.
I know, we probably should be rooting for the US team but we've been to Canada many times fishing and they are fine folks. We always were treated very well and never had a bad experience. Just ignore the politics for now.
Baseball makes me forget politics and borders and for three hours I get to escape reality.

we used to follow major league baseball but over the last few years we only watch some of the playoffs and the series .... we did enjoy last night's first game of the series

Not very often you see the starting pitcher finish the whole game.
I don't much care about CA or pretty much anything that comes from over there, but
it is "still" part of this great country. So I pull for the stink'n Dodgers over the Canadian team...

historically I was a Yankees fan so I didn't care for the Dodgers .... have to hand it to their pitcher last night, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who pitched his second full game of this year's playoffs/series .... the last pitcher who is also a power hitter I recall was the Babe .... that's pretty select company

Otani is also an outstanding pitcher that can hit. The fact that he's been a DH the first 2 games of the series shows he's a talented hitter as well as a pitcher. Quite impressive that he just recently struck out 10 batters and hit 3 homers in a single game.
I don't know for sure, but I'd say that don't happen very often.

Go Dodgers......

We made it through 12 innings and went to bed. Heard on the news this morning they went 18 and
the Dodgers won.
Glad I missed it.

Out here in the Pacific tome zone it was still hard to watch to the end. At the start of extra innings my wife and I continued to watch while in bed. After 16 innings I quit watching but my wife continues so I listened but didn’t watch. Heard the winning HR and was thankful to turn the TV off. Don’t know how you poor folks in other time zones put up with this nonsense  . Out here we’re pretty lucky with the start times of live sports like Monday Night Football, etc.

I can remember the days in Seattle when Monday Night Football was delayed an hour. I would listen to it live on the radio for an hour and get to my friends house and would make make bets with him.

Watched Game 4 until the Blue Jays went up by 5. We were so tired from Game 3 that we gave up and went to bed early. What fool predicted the Dodgers in five?
