We have snow on the mountains now. Mornings just below freezing. Had a great competition shoot last weekend. Muzzleloader and black powder cartridge shoot. I took first place, only guy with a flintlock against the Quigley rifles. Rolling blocks, winchesters, etc. :)
Had a great time. I picked up a full size 2 yr old bull buffalo hide to sleep in at camp. Super warm. Winter camp will be a lot nicer this year!

Coffee and pastries with vets this AM. There is a group called "The Yellow Ribbon Society" that
does this for vets. They do a lot of charitable events as well. Next month we will go to a vets
formal dinner with our wives and it's really well done.

RR, saw on the news this morning there is snow heading your way on Saturday. Enjoy the new Buffalo hide.

Here on this side of the Rockies it’s a warm 37. But, a high of 71 is in the works to make another beautiful October day. RR’s snow on Saturday will hopefully be some rain for us, sure hope so. Nice days expected between then and now.

Stepped away from my wood cutting yesterday to help Mrs hatchdog with some inside projects. It was hard to be indoors looking out at a beautiful day that was calling me to come out and “play”. I’ll be back to it this morning but I’m expected this afternoon to drive her out to the Spokane Valley to MAYBE firm up her decision of some new flooring she wants to put into the house. Decisions are not her strong suit.

39 this morning with a storm approaching. Later this afternoon we are expecting rain and wind with gusts to 30 or so. More rain over the weekend and again on and off next week. Been working hard getting ready for winter. Put the pontoon boat in the shop for the first time. I knew it was longer than the old one and it sure filled up the shop. Should have built a bigger shop (says everybody  )
