The Winchester 1892 .32-20 makes it home!

Yeah had to drive 40 miles to nearest Cabelas to pick it up as it came from the Wisconsin store and I had found it on Guns International.
However it was well worth the trip. Supposedly made in 1908 the overall condition was really good especially that barrel! Don't know if it had been replaced at some point in time but VERY pleased with a new looking bore! :o Looks to be a factory Winchester barrel with all the proof stamps and roll markings in right places for that year. The action was smooth and lock up tight and when got it home I cycled a few rounds thru it and all works well.

Yesterday was a GREAT day for FedEx deliveries as some parts for my Mustang arrived on time along with the Black Hills and HSM 32-30 ammo!
Need to get some bore brushes and a bore snake on order for that caliber too but will see if I can use a patch setup to give the bore a clean thru as there is some lint or dust particles in bore as you can see.

Will try and get down to my range this weekend for first shots with the factory Cowboy type ammo but do have reloading dies and bullets on the way for possibly better loads. Of course a companion 6 shooter is on the way a Cimarron Model P 32-20 with 5.5 barrel from Buds.

Right now really impressed with the condition of this 1892 for the money spent! Somehow Buster always finds away in one of my pictures and gives the "okay put it down and play with me look" !

Will be watching for that range report. A nice looking classic.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.
