we have a beautiful Sunday morning at Myrtle Beach, SC .... 76 with a RealFeel of 91 .... yep 91 .... the humidity makes the air feel heavy .... we've been here since Friday afternoon and have thoroughly enjoyed being back at the coast .... everything has gotten expensive .... excellent seafood buffets run $50 a person at all of them we have visited .... that said, the crab legs and other items have been excellent .... Friday and Saturday were pretty much spent at the pools, on the beach or in the ocean .... this morning will be spent souvenir shopping and of course in and out of the water .... rain is supposed to move in during the afternoon

54 earlier today. I must be conditioned to the hot weather we’ve been suffering lately as when I went out on the patio for a cup of coffee I had to go back inside and put a light sweatshirt on. Either that or I’m becoming a wuss. Heavy smoke again today which will keep the temp down. 90 is the forecast but I doubt we’ll see anything above the low 80’s.

Took advantage of the cool weather and finished splitting what firewood I have. Won’t be enough for this winter so I may have to buy some. That will be a first for me as I always get enough off my place and from neighbors who don’t heat with wood to get by. I have five full trees cut into logs for next year but they are too green to burn this year.
I have a 3 cord pile I need to start stacking. I buy it. It's been a long while since we thinned, cut and chopped our own. We have the property park like now so the only big cuts I do now and then is when a tree dies.

61' and cloudy. Expected to be cloudy all day. Maybe 75' later. Rain yesterday wasn't even a spit. Literally just a few random drops that landed on my arms. Still calling for rain Mon and Tues.
I’m in the same boat other than if a tree dies my place is done for tree removal. I’m pretty much dependent on neighbors and I’m happy to get the five trees I got earlier this year. I could get some off the property up north but I have a deal with the guy across the road that he can take any dead trees off our place as he keeps a sharp eye out for any activity there.

61 this morning and as it gets light it’s looking like in addition to the smoke there are some clouds too. That’s the forecast, clouds coming in today with some dry lightning and wind leading to some rain on and off for the next few days. High in the low 80’s and in the 70’s for the rest of the week. That’s a blessing for the fire fighters.

I wish you guys lived closer to me. I have more dead Oak and Ash than I can use and the only one else cutting is my son in law. I'd give you all you wanted, but you'd have to cut and split it yourself. Oh, I'd help though.

"Less humid with sun and some clouds; great day to be outside" ..... I'm the only one awake right now, the wind, sun, sand, surf and swimming pools have motivated my group to stay in the sack for a while

64 this morning, back to warm mornings again. Somewhat smoky but much better than the last few days. Low 80’s for the high if the sun breaks thru the smoke. Maybe some rain tonight and tomorrow, not much but we’ll take anything. Then a nice cool week with highs in the 70’s which is normal. After last weeks upper 90’s this will feel great.

No update on the fire up north yet but overall for the weekend it stayed pretty calm without a lot of spread. It did connect with another fie up there so the data folks have combined the acreage to over 13,000.

Had a handful of thunder bumps and rain overnight. Not much. Ground is wet in the open, but dry under the tree canopy.

60' and cloudy this morning. Might clear off and make it to 77' later.

10 days into spring and we have had everything, rainy and wet today with maximum in the mid 50's. Tornado warning for 60 miles north west an hour ago after a small one touched down. Tornados are essentially unheard of in Aus, cyclonic winds for sure but genuine tornados I can only recall one in the past 50 years.
Monday it was 75 at 10am, start of the month it was snowing, still dropping below freezing as many nights as not, blizzard conditions if I drive 60 miles south east.

^^^^^^^ best to Maureen

55 with a smoky sunrise today. High is the low 80’s. Slept in this morning as I had a long day yesterday. Left home early to drive to the other end of Spokane to help my sister unload a big moving truck into a storage unit. She just moved back from Pennsylvania. Then last night I picked up a neighbor at the airport at 11:00 pm  That’s way too late for this guy.

I’ve been fighting a sinus infection for several weeks now. Tried to make an appointment with my doc but he’s out for two weeks for medical reasons himself. Just leaves a PA in the office so no appointments available. So I’m going to the local Urgent Care this morning to get checked out. Tired of this.

Yesterday we had a couple of strong storms come right at us. First was overnight with thunder, lightning and some good rain. Second was yesterday morning and before I left we sat out on the patio to watch and condition our younger dog to thunder. That is until a strike happened so close that I could hear the sizzle in the air. Inside now! Lots of good rain, not a lengthy soaker but intense for a short time. Happy for anything as this area is experiencing the driest summer on record dating back to 1881.

57 this morning under partly cloudy partly smoky skies. Low 80’s for the day’s high.

I’ve been fighting a sinus infection for weeks and right now I feel horrible. I’m starting my third treatment of antibiotics plus this time a steroid. My regular doctor is having his own medical issue and the PA in the office is overwhelmed so I had to go to Urgent Care yesterday. The visit was ok but it sure made me appreciate my doc even more than before. Get well doc!
