What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Powder prices are really out of control. Yesterday I did go down to the reloading room looking for a picatinny mount for my 38-55 Henry. I didnt find one so I ordered one from Henry. I have a Sig Romeo im going to put on my 38-55 and see what I think. I also have a mount for a Henry 22 and I might put a dot on one of those. I do like using the reflex sights on rifles for plinkin

I checked the drawer to see what I had for .30-30 bullets.

My 30-30 bullet stash.
The top right box of 170's only has a handful left, the 150gr hot cor on the bottom left is only about half full.
All the rest are unopened.
And I didn't even look at the stash of cast boolits, but there are probably some 400+ of those under the bench.

Hey Al, after our text messaging last night, I got up this morning and got to looking around and found a bunch of 245gr 38-55 pills.
The ones I got from the guy on MO who had a Henry and they were too fat. With those and the 900 255's I bought end of last year or the first of this which ever it was, I'm set pretty well on that rifle.
And,
whilst looking, I found a box of some 210gr swc's 300+ easy.
Think I'll load some of each this week.

I believe they are .380, I didn't check them yesterday, but I believe that was why he was dumping them.
Got a porch to work on this morning I'll check 'em out this afternoon.

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Hey Al,they are .380, with a few I found to be .3795.
I loaded and unloaded 55 rounds of the 210 swc's this afternoon.
Used some Blue dot, starting load of 11.4, they didn't look too good on paper, but
from 50 yds I was ringing the gongs quite well and even managed 3 in a row on the 3" with the Henry.
Even the BH got a couple cylinder fulls.
I will say that after shooting the Marlin, Rossi and Winchester rifles so much lately, I truly despise these Damn tube loading magazines.

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Thanks Randy. I found a couple outlets for bullets. Montana Cast closed the doors. Rimrock has several and Oregon Trail also has some. Seem to be in the 79.00 range for 500. I checked Missouri cast but they are out of stock and only show 379 dia. I need 377 or 378. Ill know more after this weekend when I put some rounds down range in Laramie at buddies property for the weekend. I dont think Henry will have my scope mount here in time so I guess it will be iron sights.
