Single man evolution, field artillery piece acquired!

Post by DsGrouse » Sat Aug 02, 2025 9:02 am

I've jonesed for a 610 prior to the Hillary hole being introduced.

The problem is that I am cheap. I have this mental list with assigned values, and I won't pay a penny more. I initially declined to buy it twice. I have so many other projects going. My wife called me a fool and a moron...

I have video proof of her saying Get the gun.

So, some 25 + years later, maybe it's 30 now...

Nice, always liked guns with moon clips. Easy to pick up the brass after speedloading. Look forward to the range reports.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

It will be a couple of days, i am out of town until wednesday. Then i have to mow the lawn. Our mower has been at the shop for 4 weeks.

Once the lawn is mowed i should be able to get down to the range.

The 2.5,and 8" barrels for the dan wesson 44vh arrived yesterday.

Now I have 2.5, 4, 6, and 8" sets for both the 357 mag and the 44 mag.

Congratulations on a nice revolver. Also for getting your DW barrels completed. Looking forward to the range report.

A couple months back I saw a.... 15" DW 357 barrel.
Very rare, they also had the revolver with everyone of the other barrels.
First 15" I ever saw. Quite expensive, I was told.

I haven't a clue, but from what the shop owner told me there were like only 50 ever made.
He was going to list it on GB and was hoping to get around $2000 :o for it.

^^^^^^^^
That’s a whole lot of steel in those pics. Congrats on the 610, I had in my younger days wanted one to pair with my S&W 10mm auto. But I’ve since sold the 1006 and my stash of 10mm ammo with it so no longer longing for a 610.

Now there is a CZ brand CZ-50 in 32 acp for sale here locally I’m working hard on talking myself out of.
