This morning, when I got out of the shower, I heard the mower running, then stop outside my shop. I go out and she is approaching the mower with tools. "Ah, isn't that still under warranty?"
She is red faced, covered in sweat, and Steaming.... "I don't know, I'd have to dig up my book and check."
"Maybe you should before you void the warranty taking things apart?"
"I need something cold to drink anyway."
Sure enough, still a year left on the warranty for electronics and the motor, and lifetime on the frame. She calls the dealer, and they switch her to the mechanic. "Those panels have been going bad a lot lately, I have several on the shelf. You bring it in and I'll swap it out on your trailer, take me twenty minutes." So we did, he did, and we had it back home in about two hours with the traffic. Happy camper again.
He said if the panel goes bad again, he'll swap in a key switch panel since it would be out of warranty. (He has been keeping THOSE in stock as well.)
