Range Report: an old friend

Post by Sir Henry » Mon Jul 07, 2025 9:26 am

I haven’t shot this octagon mare’s leg in at least a year. That changed this morning when I shot offhand into bullet traps at 25 yards. It took me three shots to get on target and then I didn’t miss. Ten minutes of shooting and I’m ready to mow the lawn before the rain comes.

I made it from a factory .22LR mares’s leg and a Frontier.

It’s the only one I know about and is in .22WMR.

It has a receiver mounted Stevens 3-hole peep. This extended the sight radius from seven to fifteen inches.

And a Marbles globe up front.

Great to see you out shooting with an old friend like that, Gene. That ML looks like a great plinking gun. You've put a lot of work into it.
