What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Took a look at my stash of 45 ACP ammo and realized I was running low. (Well at least by my standard of low.) So I decided to load up 500 rounds to put back on the shelf. No problem since I had plenty of clean brass waiting to be filled with primers, powder and bullet. Now i feel better and I should have enough to get me to the end os summer.

I've been picking up my reloading room. I'll likely have another day of organizing and clean up. So far today I've put 4 presses on quick change plates, installed a new inline fabrication mount. I put away most of the swaging dies and the sizing dies. I need to clean off the second reloading table tomorrow and get things organized there.
Once all the guests head home, I need to clean some brass and anneal some others for swaging.

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
I went thru all my stuff and sorted out items I no longer need such as die sets for calibers I no longer shoot. Hopefully I can put this stuff in the sale and move them out.
Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
My swaging station is coming along. Now for cleaning up my two other benches...

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Primed 1200 cases of 38 special. Received my order from Raven Rock.
1,000 sig 45 acp primed brass,
2,000 sig 125 grain 9mm bullets
500, dead nuts ball .452
500, dead nuts 230 jhp
1,000 cases norma primed 300 black.
I've got 2k in 45 ACP once-fired cases showing up today, along with a few other products. I'm looking forward to it all arriving.
I need to make a run to Home Depot and pick up a sheet of 3/4 and a couple of 2x4's. I've got four more inline fabrication mounts coming for my presses. Right now, they are all lying on top of my primary reloading bench.

Yesterday, i spilled a pound of benchmark all over my floor.
Today, I put together a few more .375 bullets, today's bullets are 240 grains of swaging fun.

Reminds me of the old Crown Royal magazines ads showing a picture of a broken bottle of Crown and the caption read, “ever seen a grown man cry?”
Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Sorted 10 pounds of free range brass, what i can use ,what I can't use. Got a pile of AK -47 brass that I can reload some have a faint dent but should be useable. A large batch of AK-47 shells were dented so much last week that i tossed them into the unusable bucket.

The bullets in your picture look different than the ones in the video, specifically the tips, and how yours have gap or an an opening at the intersection of the cross. I think that would help channel the mass of whatever it passes through towards the flutes, and decrease the area of that flat front on the bullets. There are a lot of videos showing the performance in gel with these type bullets, and they seem to offer a temporary cavity like a hollowpoint, but maintaining deeper penetration. Best of both, and the shots into the gel blocks show that.
Let us know how they shoot and if you notice anything else about these bullets.

My sister had a class in subliminal advertising while in college a few decades ago, and that specific image was used as an example of the most airbrushed and included the images of sharks, phallic symbols, boobs, and other things. I had no idea that they even did things like that. Found this when looking it up:

Here is 5 shots offhand with the lehigh bullets. I called the high shot as operator error. Accuracy is not a problem. Back to the drawing board.
Notice that you can see the phillips screwdriver imprint on the paint.

Nothing, nothing at all, but...Man ole man was I lucky last nite.
Over on another popular lever gun site, a member offered up some long ago discontinued bullets.
Hornady's 265gr fp in .429. One of the most desirable 444 bullets ever made.
He had 400,
, yep, they will all be on there way to TN this week.
I'm tickled. Looks like some new testing come up soon for that new Trapper.

Gonna load some .38spl and .45 acp using Win 231 powder. "New" powder for me. Going with 5.0gr/230gr LRN for .45 and 3.8gr/158gr rnfp in .38.
We shall see. Have a good Sunday everyone.
