I went ahead and put in a claim for the .22mag cylinder. I looked at the cost of factory ammo across the calibers I use. .22mag came in 2nd least expensive. So I figure if I want to shoot something with more gusto than .22LR, without resorting to large caliber, .22mag should do.

Those grips are interesting. I'm glad you like it so far.

Compared to the one Ditchparrot has, mine seems rather blah in the picture. The stars in the grip make it more interesting in real life. At the time of purchase I could have gotten one like Ditchparrot's but the price for it was a bit higher. I'm not a fan of wood laminate grips, but they do make the gun a more interesting conversation piece. I did look into grip offerings at the Heritage website, but decided I like the stars in the grip too much to swap them out

Here it is a week later and the .22mag cylinder was delivered today. The rebate said expect 8-10 weeks. So I wasn't in any hurry to buy ammo. Now I just gotta get to the store for the ammo in a rush. Oh Darn!

Lately there seems to be a variety available so you have a choice. Not long ago finding 22 mag ammo was difficult.

If you have a BiMart nearby they should have a good selection. At least the local one here does. Happy blasting.

I think it's ok here, at this time.

Thanks for the reminder. I keep forgetting about them. There are several here, a couple pretty close.

I had a grocery order to pickup, so while out, I went to BiMart. Bought 100rnds of Hornady Vmax 30gr for just under $24. Elsewhere it would have cost $42 to $44 for 100. Again thanks for the reminder.
