Interesting revolvers for sale locally

Post by Hatchdog » Fri May 23, 2025 10:34 am

OKAY, STOP IT YOU ENABLERS.

Not interested in buying but a couple of interesting Ruger single actions came up for sale here locally.

A Blackhawk in 30 carbine and a Single Six in 17 HMR. Not very common calibers for sure.

No pic of the 30 carb but here is the 17HMR

Yes, interesting revolvers. I've owned a 30 carbine Blackhawk. It was a fun gun to shoot and very cheap to shoot back when you could get military surplus ammo. Not that cheap to shoot, now, though, since 30 Carbine ammo is scarcer.

Never owned a Single Six in 17 HMR, but that's never been a popular chambering in a Single Six, so I've rarely seen one come up for sale. It's still listed on Ruger's website, though.

I acquired both the 30 carbine and 357 max a couple years ago. They are A LOT of fun.

PASSED on shooting those ... ;) That ^^^^ is the 357 max... Seriously, the recoil isn't that bad... really.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.
