Tinder dry here, almost hate to mow lawn in case the mower hits a stone and creates a spark.

We’re heading your way tomorrow Mags and I just checked the forecast for Vancouver and it’s rain every day. We’re upgrading our pontoon boat with one at a dealer in Vancouver. Same year (2015) but much nicer equipped including a gas kicker motor for trolling.
44 here this morning and had some rain overnight with more expected this afternoon. Like others mentioned I got the lawn mowed yesterday which is good. High in the 60’s with rain on and off the rest of the week.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
rainy day #2, FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... 72 at 8AM with that temp predicted to rise to 80 later this afternoon before dropping back to an overnight low of 61 .... cleaning/organizing the interior of our camper in preparation for use later this week
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I hope it doesn't rain on you too much. The air flow up and down the Columbia River Gorge creates local weather disturbances that make it hard for the forecasters to get the prediction right sometimes. Our son last year upgraded their pontoon from a old small bare bones basic to a bit bigger more luxury one that quite fun to go out on. He lives near Shasta Lake in CA. I'm sure you're gonna love your upgrade too. Safe travels there and back. Wind and rain in the gorge can get real nasty.Hatchdog wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 8:42 amWe’re heading your way tomorrow Mags and I just checked the forecast for Vancouver and it’s rain every day. Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Up early this morning as we’re heading to the Portland Oregon area. Just a quick trip there today and back home tomorrow to trade our boat in on another as discussed above. 44 and dark, go figure.
Had a hard rain yesterday afternoon and another one overnight. As much as I would want dry conditions today and tomorrow we sure need the rain.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
73 at 10AM on its way to 77 later today before falling back to 62 overnight .... its been a really beautiful morning but it is "Humid; a shower this morning followed by showers and a heavier t-storm this afternoon; storms can bring flooding downpours and localized damaging wind gusts" ..... standing water left by yesterday's hours of rain are still much in evidence .... hopefully they will dry up soon .... we've decided to hold off loading our camper for this weekends use until tomorrow morning when (hopefully) we won't have to wade to do so
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
50' and cloudy with some sun poking through now and then. No rain expected today. Maybe up to 64' later.

Wow it is amazing what happens after the cataract surgery. Everything is in focus and is bright. Have to go to optometrist this afternoon. We finally got a brief rain shower overnight.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Mostly Cloudy, 70°F, Humidity 69%
Wind Speed SE 9 mph
Barometer 29.44 in
Dewpoint 59°F
Visibility 10.00 mi
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81.
Breezy, with an east southeast wind 15 to 25 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.
Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
Showers and thunderstorms likely before 4pm, then a chance of showers.
Chance of precipitation is 60%.
I had the Cataract Surgery done a number of years ago. It is amazing how bright and white things get
when it's done. It did take a long time for my eyes to stabilize though. For the first few years I still
needed glasses, but then suddenly I didn't need them anymore except for sunglasses.
I'm glad I had it done.

74*, sunny and humid at our place this morning. This 6th cup of coffee tastes just as good as the first. Me and the Pug are setting on the back porch enjoying the quiet.

I know how you feel about cataract surgery. I had mine done in early Sept. 2024.I still need 2.0 readers for up close and personal work. Even had the corrective lenses restriction taken off of my drivers license and I can actually hit a few clay birds now.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 9:09 amI had the Cataract Surgery done a number of years ago. Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
The funny thing is that when our state made CBDs legal and I started taking them for arthritis in my hands, my eyes suddenly went to 20/20.TeddyBear wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 9:35 amI know how you feel about cataract surgery. I can't prove the coloration, but if I stop taking them for even a day, I need glasses again. Strange?
I only take a small dosage of the gummies but it has helped my hands a great deal and now my eyes as well. Who knew.

Not today, but I enjoy that too. Nice when it's nippy in air and all bundled up cozy with a hot drink in hand.
