Re: New from Henry...
If I want something "tactical", I will pull one of my two AR's or a Mini-14 or a Mini-30 out of the safe. I don't want some bizarre furniture on a lever action rifle.

Made with walnut and blued steel or not made at all.
Re: New from Henry...
I have 3 X-Models and they do a fine job of scratching my "tactical itch" and at less than half of the price.
Re: New from Henry...
The carbon fiber barrel is a nice touch. But... I've got two x models, and a smith 1854. I'll probably pick up another 1854 in 357, and maybe one of these hush's in 44 rem mag. But that will be a ways down the road.

That looks like one that will head straight to the banned list up here. No scary looking firearms allowed in Canada.

Coming soon to Colorado. Go to class to buy a gun. Also now charging excise tax for guns and ammo. Not buying anymore guns in Colorado or ammo. Gun stores have already closed the doors.RanchRoper wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 8:16 amThat looks like one that will head straight to the banned list up here. And sadly that's exactly what they want Al, but I understand perfectly.
I'm guessing y'all can still have ammo and/or components shipped in?

Re: New from Henry...
Still will need hearing protection if firing any Magnum loads! With my 45 Colt X model I really don't notice any forward weight with the Banish 45 suppressor mounted and with the Henry wood kit on it still a classic looking lever rifle. Don't get all this tactical looking lever rifle stuff but guess they are trying to sell to the younger group. We getting old now!

Re: New from Henry...
I'm completely lacking the "tactical itch" and have zero interest in the X-Models or the new offering.
