I tried to plow the road up to the shop with no success. It was just to deep and I couldn’t find the road on the slope.

The snow piles are higher than the tractor.

With the stuff out of the garage I can park the Outback inside and the van fits in the upper shop. I haven’t driven it in three months. I start it every few weeks.

I’m sure you have seen them around but I use snow stakes to mark the edges of my driveway. As you can appreciate once the snow is on the ground all our reference points disappear. Of course I put these in before the ground freezes.

I have a couple dozen and put them out in the snow. If I put them out early they get buried quickly. I could still put them out now and mak the upper driveway. It’s just not that important to me.

I walked up to the shop today and started a fire.

I haven’t had many fires since December so still have lots of logs left. I suspect with the warmer weather I’ll be up here more.

The fire brought the temperature up to 72 and I was able to watch a western in warmth.

Thanks. It’s really coming along nice. I need the internet up there so I can watch the Brewers.

I watched an episode of Wagon Train then a Kung Fu movie. As I watched I put some hand tools away that I took up from the house. It is after all a real working shop.

I bought a 250 gallon propane tank and hauled it home today. I’ll be installing it up behind the garage in the next few days to fuel a range/oven.

I mentioned in my last post that it had a two-stage regulator that would allow me to fuel the stove and refill smaller bottles. That is incorrect it just allows me to fuel the stove without having to add another regulator. What allows me to fill smaller bottles is this bottom feeder which draws liquid instead of gasses off the top. It wasn’t cheap and it will take me 20 refills to pay for itself.

I hauled it home with 20 gallons which is enough to use before the cheap summer prices yet light enough to lift with my tractor. With 200 gallons my tractor wouldn’t be able to lift it.

I got a lot done today. I unloaded the propane tank although it’s just sitting on top of the snow. I have some concrete pavers I’ll sit them on when the snow melts.

Then I loaded the propane range and hauled it up to the shop.

It’s in place but not hooked up.

A neighbor also gave me a ten chair table. It’s to beat up for a house but will be perfect in the shop.

With the stove/oven and a place to seat 10 guests it looks like Thanksgiving dinner is at your place this year.😉

I’m thinking Brewer and Packer games.

I did some work in the shop today. Here is the kitchen area. The propane stove/oven isn’t hooked up yet.
