A Bit of Bragging
both of our 36 and 37 year old sons took (and passed) NC's concealed carry class today .... after they fired the first round the instructor called them aside and quietly requested that they not continue to aim at the X-ring ..
.. he said they were blowing out his backstop ....
Re: A Bit of Bragging
Great compliment from the instructor, which I'm sure made the day for your sons! Congrats to them both.
Bragging rights about their sons or daughters belong to dads & moms...enjoyed reading your post, JEBar.

Re: A Bit of Bragging
kind words appreciated .... I started working with our boys when they were 7 and 8 .... by the time they were 9 and 10 they have hunted deer with black powder, their Ruger GP100 357's, their Remington 11-87 12 gauges, and their 308 Ruger M77 carbines .... once they got out of high school and started college their hunting dropped of to almost zero but we were able to get out to range once in a while .... along the way they started shooting trap and the oldest really got pretty good at it .... I'm now working with our grandson and frankly, he's having a ball and I'm enjoying it even more than he is ..

Great to hear it. Congratulations.
I would love them to join here and share their experiences here.

Sounds like they had a solid role model. Well done.

It's a parents job to brag about their children, and I'm sure that you are more than proud of your two sons today.JEBar wrote:kind words appreciated .... they do well .... they work hard, the oldest is a MD Radiologist and the youngest is the manager of a large Ewing Irrigation store .... since I acknowledged that I'm braggingmore importantly (to us) they are good husbands and fathers ....
