I was planning to get a small Blackstone Grill for the deck, but this weather isn't helping.

I was planning to get a small Blackstone Grill for the deck, but this weather isn't helping. Looks like a blizzard outside right now.

On our last trip I purchased the "Briefcase Griddle" from Blackstone.

I got it at a Walmart in Savanah and so far we love it. It's small and easy to pack away in the RV, but it is a bit heavy.
I've also learned that the handle on these will sometimes break so handle with a little care.
I did not get the stand for it, I just put it on any flat surface like a picnic table and it has little leveling legs under it.
I grilled up some steaks for Carol's sister when we visited her in Maryland and they came out great.

35 and dark this morning as I’m up early. We’re heading into Spokane this morning first stop at the Dr’s office for blood work forms then on to LabCorp for blood draws for next weeks physicals.

Last night we had a somewhat lengthy thunderstorm but it was some miles away so no big boomers right overhead. Nice light show in the distance.

Yesterday I finished hauling all the limbs from the steep slope area and today I’ll finish up the level (read easy) areas. I’m getting a pretty big pile of branches to burn which could be a 2-3 day job this winter.

38 degrees and overcast.
No weather reporting this AM so I looked out the window.
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59.
A 20 percent chance of showers before noon.
South southeast wind around 5 mph.

its a cold 46 at 9:30AM on its way to a predicted high of 62 later this afternoon before dropping back to 39 overnight .... with yesterday's rain and today's temp, we've had to reschedule working on our camper to Tuesday of next week .... our home was built in 1974 .... all of the windows were replaced 7 or so years ago .... I can only say that I wish I'd done more research back then .... we now need one or both doors along with there storm doors replaced; as well as, one window .... naturally that window is the our largest .... looking forward to tomorrow's appointment with Renewal By Anderson

My ranch style house was built in 1964. I just replaced an 11' bay window with Renewal By Anderson. I'm very happy with the company and the new window. It replaced a Pella replacement window that my brother contracted for me ten years ago and which ultimately rotted because of poor design/installation. The new window came with a transferable warranty (20 yrs materials, 10 yr craftsmanship, and 2 yrs installation). And, it looks great.

thanks for posting your experience .... as noted, I've done considerably more research this time and from what I can tell they are a good company .... do appreciate the info on their warranty .... a rep of theirs is booked to be here in the morning

Our house was built in 1977 and has Anderson Windows throughout. Every few
years I revarnish the wood at the bottom, but otherwise they have performed
perfectly.
A few years back I needed a new gasket for a sliding door so I went to the
Anderson factory store and found out that door was a counterfeit. It had all
the Anderson logos in the glass but they had never made a door that size.
Surprise, surprise! The rest were all the real thing though.

warming trend moving in ..... 44 at 8AM on its way to 68 before dropping back to 50 overnight .... heavy rains also predicted to move in overnight and to hang around for most of tomorrow .... a rep from Anderson Windows due to be here shortly .... looking forward to digging out my bass fishing gear this afternoon to get ready for a fishing trip Saturday morning with our youngest son

33 F here. Mid forties today. The Snow from a few days ago is mostly gone.

Some errands and house cleaning in order. A special visit is occurring this weekend.

40 with a light overcast. Today is supposed to be a warm one with temps in the 60’s. Rain coming in tonight so today’s plan is to get the lawn detached, mowed and fertilized. Then nice again tomorrow with some possible rain on Saturday.

Got the last of my limbs hauled and piled yesterday, forgot to take a pic but I’m looking at probably 2-3 days of burning for sure.

the word for today is rain .... make that RAIN .... 53 at 9AM on its way to 64 later today before dropping back to 48 overnight .... as noted, we are looking at periods rain off and on all day .... yesterday's meeting with the rep from Anderson windows went well .... both of the people we have direct interaction with have been a pleasure to work with .... bottom line, good product but at an exorbitant price .... we went into the meeting fully intending to buy but came out needing to explore other options .... so now we have to come up with a Plan B

I hesitated to say anything because everyone's budget is different. I had Anderson come give me a quote to replace a sliding door unit and the price given was unbelievably high to say the least. Their product may be great quality, but I'm not going to be ripped off.
