Thurty-thurty Thursday

Post by Vaquero » Thu Apr 03, 2025 9:58 am

Well, I've heard Taco Tues., wheel gun Wed, and a few others.
How about a 30-30 Thursday?
Myself, I have a few and thought this might be fun.

Here's a couple and will add some others if y'all want to play...
A Marlin 336 Texan from '67 and the Win. Ranger from '83 or 4 I'm not positive.

This one is a Marlin made for Montgomery Wards, back in '66.

I'll add a couple more later.

Nice rifles, nice buck.

Gave my last 30-30 (pre-64 Winnie) to my nephew a few years ago so I can’t join in. But I sure can appreciate others. :D

Love the Marlins.

Here's my 1946 vintage Model 94 in 30-30.

I'm in. My only 30-30. 1866 - 1966 Winchester. The previous owner may never have taken it out of the box. I hang it on the wall. I probably won't shoot it either. I just like it to look at.

Thanks Hatch.
Nice vintage Winnie there NCG.
LOVE that long octagon barrel, Dave.

I have a 1966 made 94 Classic, I bought it because it reminded me so much of my dad's. It was the only firearm in the house growing up, besides a couple bb guns. ;)

Thanks for sharing GFK, what does it prefer, 150gr or 170gr?
Ok, I have one more, my first cf rifle, a 1974 336. Several deer have fallen because of it.

Hey Vaquero, thanks! It seems to like 150gr, Remington in particular. Yet, I fed it Winchester. I have a Marlin that doesn't seem to like Remington. But, it likes Winchester just fine. I will look for a picture of it.
