Well it happened

Post by popdad » Thu Mar 20, 2025 2:58 pm

Age and eyesight finely found me! I was going to buy a Savage MKIIFVSR and put a scope on it. I thought about it and took my cover off with the Skinners sight that came on it. I put another cover on my SGC and mounted a scope that I had in my Man's closet The scope is Nikon 4x32 rimfire scope and to the range we went. I was so overwhelmed That I didn't take a picture of the last group after sight in. A very tight glover leaf group from 25 yards with just a front sand bag! To say that I'm very excited is a understatement! I'm so happy that this turned out this way! I love my lever actions and especially my HENRY Small Game Carbine! Nothing against bolt actions just my preference I like lever action.

Yep, it happens. Glad you are able to use your SGC carbine with good results. I like mine as well.

I really like mine also! I was taken back by how accurate it was with bulk Winchester 36grhp. I should have taken a picture of the final group. Well maybe next range session.

I have to be honest. The pest control is a lot better at my end. Not so much for the other end. I can hear the grass grow again.
