My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
I was putting away my favorite Henry after a quick trip in from the barn. Which of the Henry's is my favorite? I've mentioned it before. I have at least a half dozen Henry's, surely more. Of all of them, my favorite and most used is my garden gun. It might rankle a few feathers, but I find it to be my favorite by far. It's just the right thing for varmints in and around the barn and garden. I use the little .22 shot shells in a couple of handguns too, just for vermin.
I had gone to the barn to start all my small engine equipment yesterday and today. The weather was right and I got everything started in and around the barn. Three tractors, two garden tractors, two push mowers, two weed eaters, and two rototillers. A few of them are kept in the barn, but the rest are kept outside, tarped. There is always a good chance that mice have made a nest in any or all of them. I have to check them first and then start them. If I have missed something, the mice usually abandon ship when the engine starts. Having a short range .22 shotgun makes the difference in stopping the hordes or letting them set up elsewhere.
I take the garden gun out the most. I use it the most and I like it the best. I appreciate it for what it is.
What is your favorite Henry? And why?

My favorite is my simple 'ol H001. Looks great, cycles great, shoots great.
The reason why it's my favorite Henry, is that it's the only Henry I own, but it's my go to gun more than any other.

my favorite is my BBS 44 Mag .... its fun to fire
Re: My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
Toss up between the small game carbine and the pump for rimfire. Like the sight and balance of the small game carbine and the pump stays on target when cycling. Shoot more rimfire than anything else in long gun.

Re: My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
It’s hard to choose just one so I’m going to say any of the .22S/L/LR. They are far more fun then the .17 and 22 mags. And more fun than the .223 Ranger and the two .410’s I own. I just plain like 22 rimfire. It’s surprising because for decades I shot surplus military firearms like the 03, M1, M1 Carbine and Enfields and Mosin Nagants. Not to mention Mausers and Schmidt-Rubin’s

With out a doubt my favorite is my BBS 357. Accurate, reliable and just down right fun to shoot. I have always said that shooting a 357 carbine makes us giggle!
Re: My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
My single shot Henry in .30-30 is a prize to me. Something about a single shot appeals to me for some reason. Obviously.

Re: My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
I only own two Henry's; an H001 and an H006M. Neither is a favorite. I love them both; each for their different qualities and, of course, their Henry DNA.

Re: My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
I only have one: H009. Yet, it seems to have the best wood out of my Marlins or Steven. So, it is my favorite wooden hardware. In fact, that is what caught my attention. As yes, it shoot fine as well!

Re: My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
I have confess that I only have one still. My half a Henry mare’s leg 22. So by default it is my favorite. But it is also my favorite fun gun to shoot followed very closely by my Uberti Stallion single action 22 revolver.
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday.
Re: My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
I own two. But, there is no comparison. The Henry Survival Rifle 22 is a fun little gun and it has good uses. But as someone said before my big boy steel carbine in 357 wins hands down. I agree that is a fun gun to shoot.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.
Re: My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
I have 4 Henry .357's ... A scoped Xmodel, a reddotted BBS carbine, a scoped single shot and a dotted single shot. So to answerer the question...my favorite is the Henry .357.

I too enjoy my garden gun Dave. If I had to choose though, I think my SGC is the most fun.

Re: My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
I have 9 Henry rifles.
My personal favorite is the simple .22 LR classic carbine (H001L)
When my grandkids were young, I put a scope on my .22LR H001 classic. They all learned to shoot on that rifle. They are young adults now but when they visit, it is still their rifle of choice.

Re: My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
After a lot of thought and introspection, my favorite has to be the one I get next. Don't know which it will be, but right now that is my favorite.
