Just had a nice little 4.2 Earthquake
Just had a nice little 4.2 Earthquake
It hit with a good size jolt, then a little rocking and finished with subtle rolling.

Rockin and rollin out there on the left coast. We don’t get much here in North Carolina. Every once in a blue moon we will feel a vibration. The first time I felt an actual quake was in Okinawa sitting on my bunk it started to bounce a bit. Then the TV across the room danced sideways across the table for about a foot. I was the new guy had only been there a few days. My roommates said that was a little one you get used to it.

As far as Earthquakes go it wasn’t much.
What made it a bit jarring was the fact that the epicenter was 5-10 miles from my home.
I live in the Tri Valley with hills and faults all around us
I’ve been in hundreds of earthquakes in my lifetime…

I'm glad the earth didn't open up and swallow you. Having the epicenter that close is an interesting twist.

I love the "nice little 4.2" ! Don't we live in amazing times, when something so insignificant is commonplace? We don't fear much, do we? I've never felt a tremor, probably because I live in Nebraska. I've ducked a few tornadoes. Life is good.
