My Dan Wesson 1911's

Post by Bill.68 » Mon Mar 17, 2025 12:00 pm

Got some new guts. I had never freshened up the sear springs so did so and gave my best efforts at "tuning" them. Came out nice. I didnt do much, mostly moved the disconnector leaf. I hated to chance loosing the unbelievable trigger pulls they both have. They both came out fine though. They both got function checked this weekend too. Pass.

At one point, I had 9 dan wessons. A 22lr revolver, a 357 mag revolver, 5 45 acp's, a 9mm, and a 10mm.

I'm down to two 1911s now. My vbob in 45 and guardian in 9mm. I still have the 357 mag revolver.

Dan Wesson is my first choice in 1911's. Currently have an RZ45, PM45, PM9, CCO 45, Guardian 45, CBob 45 and Vigil CCO 9mm. All good and reliable shooters.

I love 1911s. The only Dan Wesson I have owned was a 6" 357 in the late 70s. Accurate and fun to shoot. I used to carry it on the weekend runs between New River Air Station in Jacksonville, NC and Richmond. Three weekends out of four. Until I got married and stopped having a need to travel to Richmond on my non-duty weekends. :D

by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

I looked them over. Nothing jumps out. I'm happy with my Armscor/Rock Island.
