9F and mostly sunny. In 2 days the high will be in the upper 50’s. I’m wearing shorts now as I can easily bundle up for when it’s this cold.

27 and what was sunny is now getting some cloud cover. Hopefully the sun will return. Cloudy with winds coming in tomorrow with gusts in the 40’s. Not much on tap today other than a neighbor hosting a poker game later this evening. Been a while since I last played so I hope I still have some skills. Big dollar game as he suggested bringing $10 - $20.
Tomorrow we’re planning a trip up to the property to check for winter damage and see if the range is accessible or still snowed in. The dogs will enjoy a hike in the woods up there.

Wanted to go shooting with partner but she’s taking the day and going prom dress shopping with friends and mothers. Oh how they grow up quick. Everyone have a great day!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Tybee Island, Ga.
53°F
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 58.
Northeast wind 9 to 11 mph.
Chance of precipitation is 80%.
We have two Lectric Bikes in the back of the Explorer which are a real
PITA to fold up and put away and then get out and reassemble. I ordered
a bike rack for the trailer hitch which should be here Wednesday. That
should help a lot.

47 humid degrees at 11AM .... predicted high 59 before falling back to 37 tonight .... no rain today but 86% chance tomorrow .... even with our recent rain, very dry here, burning ban still in effect .... wife and daughter driving to a nearby town after church to help secure a long time friend's, who was badly injured in a car wreck .... she's hospitalized and may well never be able to return home .... I'll be keeping an eye on a grandson
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
30 and overcast this morning. Just turned on the 7:00 news to get the weather forecast and….opps it’s 8:00. How did that happen,
May take a road trip up to the property today to check for winter damage. It’s been a very mild winter so not expecting anything other than maybe a few trees down.

Torrential rains all night and they were noisy.

Not much going on today, might start a little yardwork. Now that all the snow is gone the backyard needs cleaned from a winter of Phil. Everyone have a great day!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
36 balmy degrees this morning. When I got up the house was 5 degrees warmer than it usually is and since I have only about a weeks worth of firewood left I didn’t’ even light the stove. We have some below freezing nights later this week so I’ll save what I have for that. Pretty decent day today then stormy the rest of the week with possible snow this weekend.
My wife has a 2.5 hour dentist appt today and I need to drive her. Plan is to drop her off and check out some gun shops in Spokane and Spokane Valley. I thinking of changing up my grouse shotgun to a 20ga over/under. I want 26” or shorter barrels and those aren’t very plentiful out there. Lots of 28” of course. There is one at a shop in the near valley but I’m iffy on the brand. It is a Steven’s model 512 and they review okay other than broken firing pins and Steven’s has replaced it with a newer model. Still fun to go look.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
its up to 53 very damp feeling degrees at noon with the forecast for it to get up to 56 later this afternoon before falling back to 37 tonight .... they say the first band of rain will reach us in 21 minutes .... just to show you how little I have to do, I've set a timer to see how close they come .... earlier this morning I drove Maureen to an early Physical Therapy appointment .... prior to leaving we decided to stop for breakfast on our way home .... so, we stopped at an IHop .... neither of us can remember how long its been since we ate at one but it must have been well over 10 years ago .... no particular reason for not going back earlier .... happy to be able to say the meal was very good ....
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
42' with rain. Paused wood stove burning more than week ago. Maybe a random fire or so in the near future.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
34 this morning and still dark, damn clock changes. Today is our last dry day with rain coming in later this evening and sticking around on and off for several days. Temps are dropping as well and the weather man is using that “S” word again. Might have to drag the shovel out again.
Pretty unexciting day ahead with the dogs going to day care and us going to Costco. Whoopie! I did have a nice day yesterday shopping for a new shotgun. Handled a CZ that I really liked but it’s 28” barrels and I want 26”. Oh well, grouse season is a long ways in the future so I have lots of time to make a decision.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
a busy morning has turned into a busy day .... first up Maureen's 3 month checkup following her knee replacement surgery .... bottom line, she's doing really well .... a totally unexpected traffic backup due to road construction lengthened our normal drive to her appointment, sometimes it does pay to be paranoid, our standard practice to leave early sure paid off today .... after lunch we began taking our camper out of mothballs and getting her ready for our first camping club outing of 2025 .... doing so isn't hard work but it sure seems to take more effort than it used to .... at 3PM its reached 71 under a cloudless sky with 5 mph wind (gusting to 10) .... they say it will get up to 75 later this afternoon before dropping back to to an overnight low of 40

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
special weather alert in effect for this morning : "Very dry fine fuels and low afternoon relative humidities will promote an increased fire danger across the western and central Piedmont and portions of the Sandhills through this evening. Winds will increase during the afternoon hours, with occasional gusts to around 15 to 20 mph." .... hopefully the storm front predicted to roll through on Sunday (while we are camping Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) ) will bring enough rain to help .... 41 at 8AM and its supposed to get up to 79 later today before dropping back to 49 overnight .... trip to local Chevy dealer this morning is on tap, our daughter is looking for a truck
