I got mine while playing linebacker in HS back in the 80’s. Our coach said I hit like a Cannonball and the name stuck.

Well done friend.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

About 40 years ago I started riding motorcycles, And about 20 when this whole Internet thing started I needed a email address.
"Motorcycletim" was taken, One of my riding buddie's said 'Use Bikeridertim" and it stuck. Still use that email to this day.

As a young pup in my 50's and 60's I was heavily into big bore "hand cannons". I've had BFR's in .45/70, .475 Linebaugh and .500 Smith along with an X-frame in .500. Also had a couple Freedom Arms .454's and a .44. Now in my 70's there's still a .475 and a couple of Freedoms in the safe and I still hunt with them but have backed off a bit on the powder measure.

I had this license plate made and will hang it in my shop. I’m also thinking of making it my avatar.

A slang term for a rooster pheasant –– a bird I love to pursue in the company of dogs, but which still scares the bejeezus out of me every time it busts out of heavy cover.

I know that feeling :o . The first hunting I ever did was when living in Illinois and that was for pheasant. We hunted mostly on state run preserves that were stocked with pen raised birds. Those birds would not get up until you nearly stepped on them which would startle the heck outa ya. A good bird dog prevents that from happening.

I didn’t know this. Like here we call a Ruff Grouse a Fool Hen as sometimes they just hang around begging to become tonight’s dinner. However, it seems like when deer hunting and trying to move as quietly as possible they will always do a very noisy flush and startle the crap out of me.

The difference between pen-raised pheasants and the real thing (wild ones) is similar to the difference between the paper airplane you made in 3rd grade and an F-35 fighter jet.

Yeah, those birds are as dumb as rocks out here in the West –– in fact, you can kill them with rocks if you possess a bit of throwing talent.

Evidently it's a totally different story back East, where they're revered and it's tough to get one up in gun range.

Six plus months? Can't let this thread get too old. Also, truth be told, I just FINALLY saw this thread.

Mine's a combination of my occupation and my initials. Not real original, but there it is.
