The Pup and I went downtown today. She enjoys it, and I had a good time, but I think I should stick to wildlife photography.

I don’t know about your staying with wildlife, the above shot with the American flag is pretty impressive.

I had a tough time lining everything up. I had to hold the camera above eye level. I wanted to get the top of the fence in the shot, but the ones that had that didn't have the flag centered up. Even this one isn't perfectly centered. The wind was blowing pretty stiffly and the flag kept changing direction and shape. I did get a somewhat amusing (at least to me) shot. Keep in mind it was the middle of downtown Charleston. You may need to open it up in a separate tab to be able to read the yellow sign.

And here's me trying to get artsy again.

I'm a huge fan of well constructed photographs that appear abstract only because of the combination of conditions present in your artsy photo. Well done.

And the "No Hunting..." sign on that building in that place is a target for anyone with a camera and a sense for the absurd. Had to be shot. ;)

Your “artsy” window shot looks almost 3D. Well done!

Well, I made it out to Cypress Garden this morning and tried my hand at an artsy shot of an osprey bringing material for it's nest. I need to rework it as it looks a little overprocessed on the right wing. I'm pushing the limit of cropping and bringing up shadow detail in this one. The B&W version handles it better.

Here's a more normal one.

The wood ducks were out as well. Unfortunately, the male has an injured or deformed foot. I didn't notice until I got home and started editing. I included an extreme crop to show it clearly. He seems to be doing well, and has attracted a mate.
