We currently have a Jeep Wrangler in Sarge Green, really like the color and the name of the color. I’m thinking Roper’s 41 Original Army color will be a duller green which will take us back. I used to have a 80’s something Cherokee and man would that rig go thru the snow. One time I drove it hunting going up a mountain road with over a foot of fresh snow and it never spun a tire. Very impressed. Bought the Wrangler in the spring of this year so no snow test with it yet.

Here’s a better pic of the color.

Does Mrs Hatch wash the Jeep often? If so how do you get her to do that?

The ‘41 color is a browner olive drab from what I have been told.

That’s what I would expect. It will bring back memories of the show MASH and footage of WWII. Plus Rat Patrol of course.

She knows that if she waits for me to do it it won’t’ get done. Note she is good for the windows and below but needs help with the hood, windshield and roof. A bit height challenged she is.

Yeah, that’s a good looking color especially with the contrasting top and fenders. The snow falling in the pic is perfect as it is a Jeep. Good looking tires and rims too,

Has been pronounced both willis and willys, one article I saw said "John Conde, an auto historian in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. (and former Jeep public relation executive), said Mr. Willys “was probably the type who would say, `I don't care how you pronounce it as long as you buy my cars.'”

John North Willys bought the Overland car company because he liked the brand and knew he could expand it and increase sales. For several years Overland was number two in sales after the Ford Model T. Then he got over expanded and in big debt. Walter Chrysler was called to get things in order and he was paid big $$ to do it. He even bought Willy's California estate and cut the man's salary in half. Within a year Chrysler had the debt greatly reduced and was asked to do the same for Maxwell. Out of the Maxwell save came the Chrysler Corp. But that is another story.
