-19F and sunny as I sip my Folgers Black Silk. I’m dreading to venture out into the 9-27 mph wind.

Surprised those steel gongs didn’t shatter at that temp.RanchRoper wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 12:05 pm-18F this morning at the range, snowing too. Shot my Frontier caplock and rang some frozen steel gongs at 50-75 yds. Good to see normal winter here, and next week supposed to hit 50F and rain.

I believe we are getting the annual global warming Sir Henry and BRM were discussing. 30 when I got up today with a high of mid 30’s expected. Maybe some sunshine too. Tomorrow brings more snow but not much and then the big warmup starts. By this time next week we could see temps in the 40’s. Yipee. But we may see some rain along with the melting snow and with the ground still frozen some ponding will certainly happen.
Making a run into Spokane today to look at washers and dryers at Best Buy and then to EyeMart for new glasses. Non stop excitement for us.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
45' and overcast. Damp. Maybe rain late afternoon. No fire in the stove today.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It's -15F tonight but by morning looks like a Chinook on it's way. That should take us into the 40's for a week or so. Pretty normal winter here, better than last year at this time where we had -50 for a couple of weeks. It's all good. Nice thing about the weather is it changes eventually.

32 at 7:30AM with the temp to drop throughout the rest of today .... "Colder with snow and sleet beginning in the late morning, up to 1"; breezy this afternoon; ice can cause dangerous travel, tree damage and power outages" .... vehicles are filled, headed out the driveway and parked away from possible ice related damages .... we are settled in for the approaching storm, took care of meds and groceries yesterday .... no physical therapy for either of us until Friday ..... wood laid in the fireplace ready should Maureen decide she wants a fire

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning, safe travels coop. We got a couple inches of snow overnight down here over top of a bit of ice.
Probably pretty slick out there, but I have nowhere to go, thank goodness.
Just going to keep the fire stocked and do a little more loading.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It was -9F last night and will be in the positive teens today. Two more nights of sub-zero then lows will be in the positive teens and days in the 20’s and 30’s. I love the cold and snow but I’m ready for spring.

30 this morning with a chance of snow today. 1-2” so it won’t amount to much. Then warming up nicely for several days. It’s going to be a spring teaser for sure. Even tho It’s been a mild winter I’m still ready for spring.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
32 this morning with a light snow falling. As expected yesterday’s snow didn’t amount to much, just enough to make the roads slick this morning. (Not that I’ve been out on them
) Mid 30’s expected later.
After this light snow stops it’s supposed to be dry the rest of the day so I’m planning on pulling the RV out of the shop and running the engine and the generator for a while. I try to do this monthly. Starting tomorrow we have several days of rain expected so I had better get to it today.
