I loaded up some of those inexpensive 357 components to try. Finished off this pound of 2400. No worries I have more, and of the same lot. ;)
Got 18 to try, 6 each for the 2 revolvers and the last half dozen in the Rossi.
I used the Lee fcd, so will see how they work in the rifle.
14.0 grs of powder.

I ran a load of 444 brass through the wet tumbler yesterday afternoon while the grandson and I went across the road and attacked the bamboo thicket.
That boy loves chopping stuff up with the machete. :D
I did run those 357s through the 2 revolvers before he got here, not bad at all.
So I guess I'll load more of them, I'll sling a couple off the deck after while from the Rossi.
See if I can hit a plate or two.

I ended up loading a hundred of the 357, but never got around to slinging any. :?
I also checked those 444 PCs. of brass to see if they needed trimming, but in wasn't necessary.
So I sized, expanded, and primed them, 61 to be exact. ;)
Suppose to be a pretty chilly day here for us southerns :?
So I load some of those with the new 300gr Hdy xtp's.
I'll try a couple loads with the ole stand by H4198 that I use with the 265 and 270s.
Then a few with the new to me, Flame thrower powder H335. ;) :D

I use Smoke's signal Blue for coating but I may copy your trick coating and sprinkle some of the left over Harbor Freight red on them. Imagine a few guys at the range will see that and say "What the ..............?"

That's where I got the red and green from.
Good products.

Loaded 12 rounds of 444 this morning.
Four each of three different powders, all in and around a 1900 fps according to data.
They will be a bit slower because of this short barrel. Oh, with the 300 gr xtp.
I don't give two hoots about the speed, I'm more about accuracy.

I'll add the results in my plinking thread, shortly.

I did test those but none better one from yesterday.

Then I sized all those phat cast from the past couple of casting and coating sessions.
So, we gonna play with some cheap bullets for a little while.

Right now though I'm going to load some Pugnose 357s over a little bit of 2400. :D

Well, I loaded 50 of the Pugnose over the 2400 and another 30 over some Blue dot.
I also loaded 5 each of the 3 different cast over 25 grs. of 2400.
Here in a little bit I'm going to stuff some more of these 125 jsp from Rose.
Rumor has it, there's maybe a new kid to be fed on the horizon...
The Rossi seemed to like these well enough so I'll do a few them. ;)

Part of my inline fabrication order arrived. I was able to mount the two quick attached plate holders I picked up.

I'll need at least two hang all of the other presses.

I'll have to wait for the other box, which has the hardware, quick detach plates, and rest of the pieces to my three mounts.

No loading today, just some cleaning of the rimfires that the grandson and I dirty up the past couple of days.

May unload those cast 444s I recently loaded after a bite to eat. ;)

Nothing yet today but last week was very busy. We had a really cold and windy week so I spent almost the entire week in my gun room getting caught up with my 223 Remington brass that has been sitting for too long. I sized, trimmed, deburred, and cleaned primer pockets on 900 fired casings. I then tumbled a 100 at a time until they were all finished. The walnut media is far better than the corn cob stuff. I had a friend take military brass home and knock the crimped in primers out with a Lee hand tool. He did 500 for me and I swagged the primer pockets to seat the small rifle primers like the factory casings. I don't like the swagging process as it feels as though you are trying to break your press to get the casing free from the swagging post. Next time I will use the deburring tool and cut the crimp out. I have done at least 5,000 primer pockets with the deburring tool but I was told the swagging tool is better. I have misplaced about 3,000 military casings from my prairie dog shoots in Wyoming and Montana so I will look for them some time. So now I will load a 100 or so at a time for shooting here and they will last for a while with no high volume shooting like out west. bandit

Well, I put a lower set of scope rimgs on the Trapper this morning, dropped it about a half inch.
So I guess I'll load a few of the 444 brass and see about rezeroing the setup.

A before pic. I also slid it back just a bit also. I didn't have to remove the rear sight, but did remove the little elevator. ;)

Not necessarily today but over the past few days Ive lpaded 300 rounds of 6.8spc with 28.8gr of A2200 and hornady 110gr bthp's, 200 rounds of 6.8spc with 31.1gr of A2200 and 90gr Gold Dots. Both excellent loads in all three of my 6.8's.

You’ve been busy for sure. Like most of us I’m sure you enjoy loading as much as “unloading”.

I do very much enjoy loading. I do everything with a single stage rockchucker, hand trickle alot and seat and crimp in seperate steps. Needless to say I handle every round of ammunition many many times. That contributes no doubt to the fact that in my 9 years of reloading Ive not encountered a single issue. Yes, only 9 years but there is no way to total the number of rounds Ive loaded, it has to be close to 150,000, jist thinking back to my primer purchases and my current primer stock.
I love handloading, but then again, I also love cleaning firearms. Not everyone does.
I have about 700 more of the GoldDots and 200 more of the 110gr bthp. Ill finish up the Hornadys and 300 more GD's and those are my range supply for a little while and then doo it all again.

Last night I loaded 100 45LC rounds with 22.5gr of Vectan 6 1/2 , a 305gr SWC GC in ☆- brass and a cci350 and tonight will be some 454casull. Im also running a little low on 44Spl and 357mag but I dont have any bullets for the mag, at least not any to load for jist blasting away with at the range. All I have are those Montana Bullet Works 358156 and theyre not for range ammo.

Time to order more.
Please always remember to never forget, No matter where you go, there you are.
