I've had a cell phone since the mid-eighties, but I've never given the number to any company or organization to contact me. Happily, I have never gotten a text or call on my cell from anyone I don't know. I do give my POTS landline number out, but I screen the calls. If I don't know the caller, I don't answer.

Had a few inches of snow last night. tonight I'm expecting a bit more snow and ice, then rain. Sigh.

I give a fake number as it’s a required field in a lot of forms. What I absolutely do not give out is my Social Security number. I don’t need credit anymore so I never fill out applications.

Forecast is for a little snow tonight.

Negative 3 right now but sunny. High in the teens is all. Tonight is supposed to be the last cold night with the low Thursday night around 17. Then maybe some 30’s for the highs starting on Saturday. Snow predicted but it looks like once again it may stay south of us. Hope so.

Other than cleaning the guns i shot yesterday no plans for the day other than keeping the fire burning in the stove.

Likewise with the landline.
Larbcorp took over many of the blood draw labs in our area. They replaced the simple web 'make an appointment' with one that asks for all kinds of personal information, including medicare number. The appointment tool has no login security. Fortunately they have a "I already paid or someone else pays" option. I use that option.

26' clear and sunny. Cold East wind coming down through the Columbia Gorge. Forecast is still for freezing rain and snow tomorrow.

Safe travels Coop and stay warm doing your preps.

What’s that song? “We’re having a heat wave”. Or something like that. 7 above this morning which is 10 degrees warmer than this time yesterday. I’m liking the direction the temps are going. It’s supposed to be windy today so we will have windchills in the negative teens. No plans to go outside other than my morning dog hike which has been happening in the afternoon here lately. Let it warm up a bit first.

Snow expected tonight and again tomorrow and we could see 2-4” by the time it’s done. So far most of our winter has occurred in February.

heavy and steady overnight rain moving out .... unsure as to totals but it has to have been significant .... 52 on its way to 64 later this afternoon before dropping back to 28 overnight .... our first subfreezing temp in several weeks .... our recoveries from both of our surgeries seem to be on track .... my recovery from pneumonia appears to have taken an upswing but still has a good way go .... no plan to leave home today

Last time we made this route we were snowed in in Iowa for two days. We just take our time and go with the
flow. The Winnebago Journey is nice and warm. We run the furnace while on the road and all I really have to do
is get out and hook up the electric when we park for the night. If I don't want to do that I can just run the genset instead.
I have 100 gallons of fuel on board and can run over 700 miles before I need to fuel up. That should get us someplace warmer.

Thanks for the good wishes Hatch.

25' and windy. Also snowing a very fine powder horizontally. With the wind a little bit blizzardly. Ground is frozen from previous cold days, so this is sticking. Approaching 1/2 inch.

Ya, what’s up with that. Even when we are completely legal the ole’ ticker bumps a bit when confronted.

Yipee, the heat wave continues with a temp of 25 this morning. There is a light snow falling but it’s not expected to amount to much. For Valentines Day I’m taking Mrs hatchdog shopping for furniture and appliances. A punishment worse than death I feel. :( She wants a new washer and dryer and a new dining room table/chairs.

Please have pity on me.

For that type of shopping, not much pity. Now if it involved shoes, purses and clothes, that I would give you.
