Right back at you Randy, I'm about to have a rum and diet coke.
I worked a couple of hours over today at the part time job and will enjoy relaxing tonight.

Cheers to all here.

Watching the snow come down, wife is making chili for tomorrow’s SB, and yes she put beans in the chili. Think I’ll have an Irish on the rocks and then toddle off to bed and dream of real chili (no beans). To Randy, Al, Mark and to the forum, Slàinte

I'm raising a rum and coke to all the good folks here.
I just settled in after picking up the daughter in law and grand daughter at the airport. They visited her folks in Florida. They had a great time. They were just in time to be entertained with a snowy ride home, complete with white outs. We are finally having a good ole regular winter here. Makes me glad I use studded snow tires.

Cheers.

Sounds like with that drive a rum and coke is well deserved! :D

1Well, we're here at the beach in St. Augustine, Fl. I can hear the ocean the other side of the sand dune.
It's been an interesting day to say the least. It was a 7 hour day which is a long day for us, but we did stop
a couple of times.
I have a Maker's Mark with a water chaser right now and am chilling out.

So let me tell you a tale that surprises even me.
We stopped at a Flying J Denny's for lunch. They usually have parking for us as we're about 60 ft long.
As we came in a couple was ahead of us. He was a gentleman and held the door for us and then came in
behind us. I told him they were ahead in the first place so he they should go and get seated before us.
He nodded and they went to be seated.

Now I was wearing a US Army T shirt that Carol bought for me, and a vets hat with some VN pins.
After eating I asked Carol to pay the bill as I wanted to use the rest room and I went out.
I then met her in the store and we went out and were on our way.
A couple miles down the road she asked if I had paid the bill and I said I thought she did.
We had skipped out on the bill. I don't dop that so Carol found the number and called the Denny's so we
could make it right.

They could not find an unpaid bill.
I remembered that the man who held the door for us went out while we were eating and when he came back
he looked at me and nodded.
I think he bought a veteran and his wife, lunch.
There are good people in this world, but although I really appreciate the gesture, I don't need the charity
as we are quite well off, but it was nice. :D

Evening, we did make it to 53 today.
After work I came home and drug a ladder out and climbed up and put the chimney cap back on after the winds of the past day or so.
I saw right before I left this morning. So while I was up there I cleaned the gutters out, hey, just the first time this year.
Put the ladder back then took a break...then put 8 rounds in the newest Trapper,
the other only holds 5...
Walked out on the patio and hammered the 10" gong, 40ish yds. Then I was done.
Now I'm resting. 8-)
