Vortex warranty

Post by Hatchdog » Wed Jan 15, 2025 9:15 am

Another shout out to Vorte and their excellent lifetime warranty. I had a pair of binoculars that the eyepiece focus came apart. I sent them in using a form printed from their website and here three weeks later a brand new updated model showed up. Can’t beat that!

I have never heard a negative comment about Vortex warranty claims. Quite the opposite, I have heard only positive comments about Vortex warranty claim service.

I prefer Leupold products but I don't always have the pocket loot for Leupold and for that reason, I have at least one, probably two, Vortex rimfire scopes.

But I have never made a warranty claim on a Vortex product so I have no first hand knowledge.

Excellent.
A few years ago my buddy Eric was looking for a new scope for a 270.
I recommended a Vortex. He ordered one and we could never get it to keep zero.
Checked the mount and rings a couple times, nothing a miss.
We contacted them, and sent it back and in about a week or so later got a brand new one.

I have 3 or 4 of their scopes.

I have a Vortex scope and a Red Dot. I've never had a problem with the scope. The Red Dot was another matter. It has up/dn buttons for changing the brightness of the dot. Out of the box new the buttons were very hard to push. I had to use a blunt tool to make those buttons work. I wrote a bad review about it. I was surprised when Vortex reached out to me. They had me send it in for service. Round trip a little over a week I got it back. Service ticket said they replaced the button cover panel and rezero'd it. The cover replacement sorta helped. I could at least with a hard finger press get the buttons to work. I considered sending it back again, but let it go for now. From that one incident I give Vortex high marks for their warranty claim service, but so-so on the repair itself.
